If it breaks above 123,500, there’s a chance of reaching 126,000 and making a new high. If it gets rejected, there’s room to drop down to 116,000.📊

🙂Hello friends, this chart shows two key indicators from early 2022 to mid-2025. The blue line represents the ratio of the USD value of altcoin futures contracts to every $1 of Bitcoin open interest (unsettled futures and options). The higher this ratio goes, the more interest and capital are flowing into altcoins compared to Bitcoin.

😎In 2022, this ratio was around 1.4 but dropped to about 0.8 by the end of the year, signaling weakness in the altcoin market.

✔️ From 2023 to early 2024, it had a strong upward trend, forming several peaks between 1.4 and 1.6, which coincided with major altcoin rallies.

😳After the corrections in 2024 and early 2025, the indicator surged again and is now near its historical highs, above 1.4.

✔️The gray line shows the total altcoin market cap in USD. In early 2022, it was about $1.2 trillion, but during the crypto crash it dropped below $0.5 trillion. By 2024, with the market recovery, it climbed back above $1.2 trillion, then went through a correction, and now is once again near $1.4 trillion, which is a historical top.

📊Typically, when both lines rise together, it signals the start of an altseason, and the shaded blue zones in the background highlight periods when altcoin dominance was strong and altseason was active.

Currently, both the altcoin market cap and the altcoin open interest ratio are surging, which could be a strong signal for continued altcoin growth. The market conditions now look very similar to past periods when altcoins had explosive rallies, with data showing that capital is relatively flowing out of Bitcoin and into altcoins.

One possible scenario is that it could drop to the $114,000–$115,000 range, which would act as a pullback and a retest of its mid-term uptrend line. I think such a move might happen, though I’m not fully certain.

The 3-day candle closed last night, and the fact that it closed above $113,000 is a positive sign, showing it held above the trendline. If the candle had closed below that trendline, then we’d be looking at the possibility of Bitcoin heading toward $100,000.📊
