How I made some money with Crypto.

Time- 4 Years
Earnings- A few Hundred Bitcoins.

A Thread.


1. Started because I wanted to be rich.

Raised in a middle class family, there was always enough to eat but that's about it.

Wanted to get rich and get 100% output of my efforts.

2. Blew up my account thrice.

Lost all I had saved. Lost the money I borrowed from mom.

Lesson-
-Trade with only your money. Never borrow.
-Manage risk. I have a few classes on it. If you don't do it, you will lose your money 100%.

3. Bought Neo early and held on.
Bought ETH, Dash in early 2017.

Almost lost all gains in the PA of 29th Nov 2017.

Tip- Exit when Twitter gives insane targets.

4. Made most of my money scalping/swing trading BTC. This is what I got good at and stuck with it.

Risk low. Keep clicking. You will grow an edge.
Get in the zone of not being Fearful about open trade.

Fearful = Too high position size

5. Avoided all unnecessary things in life.

Crypto will reward you if you give it time and your attention.

I avoid anything that's not family or Crypto.

News, gossips, politics don't deserve my time.

Concentrate your energy.

6. Find projects you will hold for life.

Look for real world use, long term projects, public founders, with a lot of stash and low competition.

And keep buying.

7. Keep trading. I can't emphasise how much it helped me to trade more and more.

I can understand the market so much better now due to my experience of observing.


8. I don't use too high leverage.
Always have a solid reason for entering.

I don't use the common retail Indicators. There is no edge there.


9. I started with low Capital. I don't want to reveal how much or people are going to assume

'I need this much to start'

Start with what feels right.

Start with what you can afford to lose but it should hurt if you lose it, but not ruin your life.


10. Don't go all in. Study my classes on risk Management. Keep risk at 1-3%.

You will get rich if You go slow, no need to rush and risk your sanity



11. How did I keep going after losing it all?

I had no choice. I had given too much time to trading Options, I couldn't go back to a normal Job


IMPORTANT-You won't succeed if you let Twitter influence you. If you really wanna trade, don't be active on social Media.

I have endured the pain of listening to others, lost so much money there.

Don't listen to anyone, including me.

How should your trading day be?
What should you do before trading.

We will explore everything in this post.

A THREAD.

1. First hour- Scanning.

Look for Chart Patterns. Only chart patterns and nothing else for the first 30-60 minutes of 50 coins or your favourites.

Scan. Find patterns and see which one seems the best.

This is the first routine. Find patterns.

2. Choosing the trade.

After scanning, choose which chart to trade.
It can be any pattern but analyse it's strength.

Eg. In a symmetrical triangle, if the touches are very strongly bouncing with a green candle on the lower trend-line, it's likely to go up

3. Preparation to entry.

Before entering, Decide your position size as per risk management.

This is far more difficult than it sounds and this is the reason why 99% of the traders fail.

Follow the principles of risk Management.


4. Choosing Entry.

Don't rush and enter.

CHOOSE your entry.
If you're expecting a pull back, then WAIT for it.
If you like the volume and see a divergence now, then enter now.

WAIT for a trade, slow down.
Use S/R, Fibs and Volume.

5. Fix your invalidation.

BEFORE you enter, YOU MUST have set your invalidation level.

WHERE will you exit when trade goes wrong.
As soon as this level gets hit, exit. Don't think too much.

6. Profit Taking.

Take the exit on Reversals and a fixed aread.

Fixed areas are to be used for S/R but my aim is to maximum the good entries.

So instead of fixed TP, exit on signs of reversal.

Conclusion.

Start with chart scanning for opportunities.
Choose a few best ones.
WAIT for entry triggers.
FIX invalidation.

Once in a trade, don't panic if you trust in your system but do monitor for reversals.

HOW TO FIGHT AGAINST EGO

Problem : The ego is responsible for the creation of excessive confidence, in a field where overconfidence kills since no one knows the future.

Solution : Keep your feet on the ground with our objectives, be humble and practice gratitude. 📝

Ego is the most dangerous emotion. When you experience a winning streak, you will feel that you are on top of everyone and this can cause excessive confidence 💁🏻‍♂️, but negative confidence ☠️.

When the price reaches the Take-Profit, it can make you feel as if you have the greatest victory, which brings you to fall into the illusion of "it's so easy" . Stay humble, disciplined and remember this series of bad trades can always come faster than winning streak!

Another major mistake to avoid is that traders with ego can add positions ✒️ when they see a trade that goes in their favor (or against them) they increase the initial risk without being tactical and strict to a plan. They tend to hedge position because they think they will always have a reason. They don’t like to accept that they are wrong.

The ego that many novice traders ignore is the belief that if they could make 20 points of profit using a lot adapted to 1 per point, they believe they can do the same, but with much more 10 per point. Each stage of development requires psychology and experience, do not try to skip steps, go ahead step by step. You will trade with big money just do not rush to start trading with logs unadapted to your account.

Not taking into account risk management in proportion to the amount of our account is a deadly weapon. Not only because your account has increased you should quickly increase the lot or positions. We are here to get the skills to be profitable on a real account, not to play the Wolf of Wall Street.

The ego can be easily combated, all we have to do with our state of mind is to keep our feet on the ground, setting realistic objectives respecting risk management. When you win a trade , the best is to stay humble and practice gratitude.

Each trade is unique. Each trade is exposed to a loss. When you feel the euphoria before launching a trade , the best is to move away from screens for a while to come back with a mindset without emotions. - NOTE THAT 📝👀
