1/ The BTC exchange supply is hitting all-time lows, hinting that whales might be selling their coins off-chain.

2/ The US and European stocks also plunged, with Bitcoin's correlation to the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Stoxx 600 now hovering around the highest levels since mid-2020.

3/ Given the sell-off in the crypto and equity markets, stablecoins were a place to be so far in 2022.

USDT, USDC, UST and DAI are the best performing assets among coins with more than $500 million by market capitalization.

4/ As the stablecoin market flourishes on DeFi adoption and derivatives trading, the total stablecoin market cap is nearing the $180 billion mark.

The top stablecoins has finally proven to be able to hold their value over the last months.

USDT, USDC, DAI and others saw minimal deviations from the peg starting from October 2021 despite heightened volatility in the crypto market.

5/ However, stablecoins appear to be the money printer for the crypto industry.

The SSR, which shows the ratio between Bitcoin supply and the supply of stablecoins, has reached its all-time low, indicating more "buying power" from stablecoins to buy BTC.

6/ Last week, we explained the mechanics behind the Anchor protocol and the 20% APY it offers for staked UST.

Later on, Terra injected 450M UST into Anchor reserve to keep offering attractive yield for depositors, but the gap between deposits and borrows remains.
