Past socities offered more personal freedom

"It is said that we live in a free society because we have a certain number of constitutionally guaranteed rights. But these are not as important as they seem. The degree of personal freedom that exists in a society is determined more by the economic and technological structure of the society than by its laws or its form of government. Most of the Indian nations of New England were monarchies, and many of the cities of the Italian Renaissance were controlled by dictators. But in reading about these societies one gets the impression that they allowed far more personal freedom than our society does. In part this was because they lacked efficient mechanisms for enforcing the ruler’s will: There were no modern, well-organized police forces, no rapid long-distance communications, no surveillance cameras, no dossiers of information about the lives of average citizens. Hence it was relatively easy to evade control".

❗️US mercenary firm behind aid operation that saw killings of starving Palestinians recruiting for new Gaza deployment

A former army officer says UG Solutions is planning more than a dozen new aid sites in Gaza, with applicants told deployments could begin as early as December and salaries reaching $1,000 a day, according to a report from Drop Site News. Recruits described interviews centered on weapons use and obedience to superiors, reflecting a renewed push for private contractors as the US–sponsored UN resolution on Gaza hands sweeping authority to a Trump-chaired “Board of Peace.”

Additional contracts point to a scaling-up of US involvement, including a new five-year deal with Q2IMPACT to monitor aid in Palestine and Lebanon. Reporting has also exposed the involvement of Infidels Motorcycle Club (Infidels MC) members, which is an American biker gang with a record of anti-Muslim extremism, in security roles at GHF-run distribution sites.

During months of contractor-guarded aid operations, over 2,600 Palestinians seeking food were killed at or near the sites, with video evidence showing guards firing live rounds and stun grenades even when no threat was present.

UG Solutions now faces calls for state investigations in North Carolina over alleged complicity in abuses, as humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate despite a US-brokered so-called ceasefire. Israel has repeatedly violated the agreement while blocking most aid trucks, deepening a famine that has killed hundreds, including more than 150 children, according to Gaza health authorities.

Today is the 92th anniversary of the Soviet created famine in 1932-1933 known as the Holodomor.

Over 3.5 million Russians,Ukrainians,Germans were systematically starved to death over the period of 2 years. 10% of the total population perished.

Students do not learn about the Holodomor in middle school, high school, or even college. There aren’t dozens of major Hollywood films depicting the horrific events that took place.
