It’s over. Our last line of defense has fallen.

😎 Sam Altman says we are entering the “revenge of the ideas guy” era.

Sam says he recently met someone who used GPT-5.6 to build software now sold to 50 people for $500/month. He says building it previously would have cost millions in software engineers.

He says GPT-6 Astra has reset the economics of starting a company. With Astra, “anyone who wants to have a company now has genius-level employees in every area of expertise.” He says even a full game for only a few thousand users can now make economic sense.

His message for engineers is pretty clear too: technical talent is still important, but simply knowing how to code is becoming less valuable as a differentiator. Altman says he now wants to fund people who deeply understand users even if they cannot code at all.

🗣Jensen Huang: I’m not asking AI to think for me.

I’m asking it to teach me things I don’t know or help me solve problems I otherwise wouldn’t reasonably be able to solve.

“Don’t use it as a crutch for things you can do.”

“The idea of prompting an AI, the idea of asking questions, is a highly cognitive skill.”

“As a CEO, I spend most of my time asking questions.”

“When you receive an answer from an AI, I wouldn’t just receive it.”

“I usually say: are you sure this is the best answer you can provide?”

“I take the answer from one AI, give it to another AI, and ask them to critique it.”

“I ask the same question of multiple AIs, ask them to compare each other’s notes, and then give me the best of all the answers.”

“That process of critiquing and criticizing the answers, critical thinking enhances cognitive skills.”

I would advise people to apply critical thinking.

🔍 Google demonstrated a recursive self improvement loop for AI discovery

Google/DeepMind researchers introduced Dream-RSI, a system where an AI agent improves how it explores problems by replaying its past discovery attempts, testing thousands of alternative strategies cheaply, then deploying the better strategy in the next round.

Across algorithm design, mathematical optimization, and GPU kernel engineering, it matched or improved discovery quality while cutting search costs dramatically, in one setting reducing agent calls by up to 162x.

Importantly, it improves the exploration policy, not the underlying model weights.

🧹 Humanoid robot cleans 30 unfamiliar homes with no retraining

Figure shows its Helix 2.5 system running a humanoid robot that tidies a messy living room, makes a bed and folds towels in a house it has never seen before—no extra training, just ship the robot and press go.

According to Figure, they rented 30 different homes around the Bay Area and saw the same model succeed in all of them, handling new rooms and unfamiliar household objects.

The company says the trick is training on massive amounts of recordings of how people move and act: over 90,000 people contribute every week, turning their everyday actions into data that teaches the robot these skills before it ever enters a new home.
