Lot of people ask how one can get into copywriting! The answer lies in totally understanding the nature of the job itself. Clearly copywriting is done to increase the business.

If you are writing content that is either promoting a product/service or marketing a brand, you are already copywriting. If you have written for any e-commerce website, lead-gen web page, Landing page content or any content with call to action button, you have already done Copywriting.

Moving on to the upper levels when as a copywriter one writes for advertising. It can be single page creatives like brochures, flyers, social media banner posts/ads or creating a whole campaign to promote a brand through various forms of content including videos.

How can you start without experience?
Start writing if you are a beginner and have no writing experience. You can create your own portfolio by:

- writing detailed review of any popular products/brands
- writing emailers/newsletters as samples
- if you can design then try your hands on single page creatives to create ads

There are many other ways to create a nice work portfolio which you can use to pitch for your copywriting skills which simply can be a Google doc.
