Required area = Area of triangle - Area of circle part

= 1/2 * √2 * √2 - π/4

= 1 - π/4

Equation of Common tangent = 2(g1 - g2)x + 2(f1 - f2)y + C1 - C2 = 0

Eq. = -2x + 2y + 1 = 0

Distance from centre (-2, 0) = 3/2√2

Now half of length of comman chord AB = √3 - 9/8 = √15/8

Length = 2*√15/8 = √15/2
