the reason why you might be struggling to get things done, is prolly that damn phone btw.

the more overstimulated your brain is by things like social media or video games, the more your brain would hate doing tasks that are not as simulating like, reading, learning, working, coding or etc.

so stay focused on what really matters and turn that phone off .

read my post on how to be/stay focused:

your brain is "just like" any muscle in your body, the more you train it, the stronger it becomes.

just how you would lift weights to strengthen your muscles, you must read/deep-focus-work everyday so your brain grows stronger.

and just how through consistent training your muscles would handle more weight, your brain also would handle more complex topics/tasks.

The Secret to Enjoying Simple Things Again

We all crave the extraordinary — the next trip, the perfect meal, the unforgettable moment. But what if the real key to happiness isn’t in adding more, but in feeling more?

Most of us have forgotten how to truly enjoy simple things: the warmth of morning sun, the taste of fresh bread, the calm of a quiet evening. It’s not that life has lost its beauty. It’s that our senses have been turned down.

Why? Because we’re overstimulated.

When your brain is constantly flooded with high-intensity input — scrolling, streaming, snacking, rushing — it adjusts its baseline. Suddenly, ordinary moments feel dull. A quiet cup of coffee can’t compete with a viral video. A walk outside feels slow compared to a fast-paced game.

It’s like eating a heavily spiced stew right before tasting a delicate dish. You won’t taste the subtlety. But come to it hungry, and that same dish becomes rich, satisfying, alive.

The same is true for life.

To enjoy simple things, we don’t need more — we need less. We need to lower our stimulation so ordinary moments can be felt again.

Here are three practical ways to reset your capacity for joy:

1. Create space before simplicity.
Before you sit down for a simple meal or take a short walk, give yourself 10 minutes of quiet. Put your phone away. Breathe. Let your mind settle. You’re preparing your senses to receive, not just consume.

2. Practice “one thing at a time.”
Eat without watching something. Walk without listening to a podcast. Talk without checking your phone. When you do one thing fully, you notice details you’d otherwise miss — the texture, the sound, the presence.

3. Embrace small deprivations.
Skip a meal until you’re genuinely hungry. Turn off notifications for an hour. Leave your headphones at home. These small “fasts” from stimulation reset your brain’s reward system. Suddenly, food tastes better, quiet feels richer, and small joys regain their color.

The science behind this?
It’s about dopamine — your brain’s reward chemical. When you’re overstimulated, your dopamine baseline rises, and simple pleasures don’t register as rewarding. Lower the baseline, and life’s ordinary moments become sources of genuine satisfaction again.

It’s not just about enjoying (“this feels good”) — it’s about admiring (“this is good”). And overstimulation dulls both.

Your invitation this week:
Pick one simple thing you usually rush through — drinking tea, sitting in the sun, listening to a friend — and do it with your full attention. Notice what you feel. You might rediscover a world you forgot was there.

Because the simple things aren’t boring. We’re just distracted.

Call to Action:
What’s one simple thing you’ve recently enjoyed fully? Share below — let’s inspire each other to slow down and feel more.

the whole point of programming is to solve problems, by solving i mean actually getting out there and making sure an individual's or a communities problem/s is fixed.

lets take a doctor for example, will he be able to treat his patients if he is not out there talking and communicating with them and coming up with treatments specifically for that patient? no he wouldn't be able to

same with programmers, If we aren't out there understanding what problem the communities/individuals are having, we can't solve real-world problems ...and if we aren't doin that then we're just ... people who know how to code but never use it to benefit anyone.

then after that is where we get to think of "marketing", having an idea/code that fixes someone or a communities problem/s is the first and the most important step, the second step is just convincing them that you can fix their problem that's all there is to it.

and tbh as programmers thats what we lack, we think knowing all the techinical skills will solve our problems but it wont. fyi a doctors 50% of his job is diagnosing his patients

so before deciding on starting any project, ask your self this ... who's problem am i solving with this ?

if you are really someone who wants achieve a certain thing in your life, you must cut the bullshit.

if you don't cut all the crappy distractions out of your life, trust me you're making it harder on yourself to achieve what you ought to achieve.

your phone? only for communication.
your laptop? only for learning/working.
your time? only for growing.

and i'm being serious, you might mistake scrolling on insta as relaxation or watching a movie as resting. but all this time you could've used to grow. and i know that we are humans and need rest at the end of the day, but just be very conscious about it.

i'll soon write about the best ways to rest. (i know this is a subjective matter but i'll approach it in an objective sense)\

no matter how you feel, get the work done it will make you feel better trust me.
and i know that sometimes things might get overwhelming and you might not understand what's going on, but your power is hidden deep inside your work, so get up and get things done ❤️

Take it one step at a time you'll get where you need to be.

the secret of achieving what you gotta achieve, be it a skill, a physical goal, a mindset or whatever it is. is doing it one step at a time CONSISTANTLY.

being consistent should be your goal, keza what ever it you do consistently you'll be good at.

so take time, and do it consistently EVERYDAY.

just cuz you read about it online doesnt meant it's true, get used to questioning things!

don't expect anyone to come and "help" you out with anything, you are the only human responsible for you.

so get up and finish the code you started, or the course you enrolled in or whatever it is, get up and do it.
6
whatever it is that you do, give it a 100%

learning? a 100% attention.
working? a 100% attention.
reading? a 100% attention.

what ever it is that you are doing, do it with a 100% attention.

DONT FORGET quality > quantity i.e spending 1 hour learning/working with pure focus is always better than working/learning for 3 hours of fragmented focus.

if you are a web dev hear me out, unless you want to be hired(which is not always the worst case), you really need to think big, SOCIETY LEVEL BIG.

you want to create an application that actually makes ALLOT of people lives easier.

unless your website/app solves a HUGE problem and makes allot of people lives easier, it's doomed to fail.

always ASK yourself this before you starting building any idea you have

to which SOCIETY is this application going to benefit ?
how is it going to BENIFIT ?
how am i going to CONVINCE them ?

if you have SOLID ANSWERS for all these questions, start working other wise you are better-off NOT starting.

but before even asking these question must also question the IDEA itself.

what PROBLEM will this idea fix?
is the problem really a BIG OF A DEAL? and etc.

i'll be soon writing about types of problems society faces and how can we web developers help solve them.

the hardest part of getting into the flow-zone where you could focus on your task seamlessly is the first 10 minutes where your brain is getting accustomed to the low dopamine activity, in that 10 minutes you would feel bunch of urges to watch "just couple of reels" or to watch "just one you tube video", it's a trap and you shouldn't fall for it, push through the first 10 minutes and the rest of the hour would seem flawless.

make sure you don't burnout as well, take strategic brakes every 25 minutes that last only 5 minutes max, in that break DONT SCROLL on TikTok or any other overstimulating activities, do things that are of low dopamine so going back to your original task wouldn't be as problematic for you, do things like cleaning your room, or stretching, or refilling your cup of water, or getting some sunlight in your 5 minutes break.

open a pomodoro video on you tube in the background, it'll help you keep track of the 25/5 minute time window.

Pomodoro Timer

understanding something new is one of the most rewarding human experiences, so make sure you're leaning something new everyday.

the more complex the thing you understood, the more rewarding it is.

here is something i want to write about spending valentines alone.

if you are someone spending this "special" night alone, you have to realize that a rushed stew is never going to taste good.

what do i mean by that? if you rush yourself into a relationship just for the sake to be in one, you're doing yourself wrong, because being with someone you're not going to be compatible with is always going to do you more harm than good.

so, make sure you're always working on yourself, till life brings you closer to your destiny and you'll live happily ever after, and your "special" night will be every night 😉.

with all seriousness tho, if you are with someone you are meant to be with, everyday will be a valentines, everyday will be a day for you guys to cherish each other, everyday will be a day for you guys to grow with each other.

so, don't feel any type of way because you're single, your stew is stewing, wait for it to get done so you actually enjoy what you cooked.

nobody can love you the way you can love yourself.

but what does loving yourself really mean? is it passively saying affirmation words to yourself? is it taking yourself to a coffee date? what is it exactly?

althought the things I've said can be a form of self love, they are not the pillars of selflove.

self love has it's foundations on ACTIONS that your future self will thank you for example

physical care, this is the act of caring for your physical well being like exercising, stretching, showering, brushing your teeth, smelling nice and etc, basically anything and everything that makes your physical body feel better.

mental care, this is the act of caring your your mental health with actions like learning, creating, meditating, journaling and etc.

spiritual care, this is the act of taking care of your soul and bringing it peace by actions like praying, meditating and good friendships etc.

think of these three like a tringle, a triangle cannot stand with any of it's sides not being available. you ought to give all your energy and focus to all three aspects of self care.

this might be the most important thing I've wrote since i started writing on this channel, and I'm definitely going to write about this matter more in the future, so please take a minute and read this with your undivided attention.

i always wanted to address this issue but never really got a way to express it in words correctly. but after many conversations with my AI, I can finally put words to it.

Radical social atomization.

it is a condition where individuals exist as isolated units — atoms rather than an interconnected social fabric.

what does this mean? let's say for example in a workplace, everyone is in the same environment for years, but they never truly meet so they stay strangers to each other the entire time.

another example that i have experienced myself is in the classroom(college classroom), we(students) literally share the same classroom, the same struggles and challenges, the same everything, yet we stay strangers for 4/5 years straight.

this is totally not normal btw.

We Humans are wired for connection, for mutual recognition, for shared experience. When people coexist without ever truly knowing each other, something fundamental has broken in the social contract of that environment.

It's not that people are hostile. It's that they've become socially frozen—unable or unwilling to bridge the gap between coexistence and connection.

so this is what i suggest:
say hi more. invite someone to tea. share a thought about something you both experienced. hold eye contact for a little longer. start somewhere. start small. start today.

life is a marathon not a race.

keep your energy stable, avoid burning out and most importantly focus on your own steps not others. and you'll for sure reach the end point (your goals).

i wont be gatekeeping any business ideas on this channel.

here is a very easily implementable idea that you can do if you have just a little bit of programming skills and communication skills

https://chat.deepseek.com/share/9axwaboz6bshb3d17z

the only reason i wont be implementation this currently is because I'm kind of busy with classes but very soon i will be implementing this. if anyone wanna work along side me shoot me a text or just reply on this post, we'll work together soon.

this is definitely a way to generate income. 100% success rate.

listen up. life is happening right now — whether you're sad about it or not.

the sun still rises. people still need you. work still waits. the dishes still pile up. so here's the thing: you're going to do these things anyway. you might as well do them happy.

get excited about your work. get curious about the people around you. laugh with your family. find joy in the small, boring routines. it's all life. and it's all you've got.

while you're at it — love a little more. forgive a little faster. help when you can. life opens up when you stop living just for yourself.

and yeah. focus up. do the work. always.

you choose the energy you bring. so bring the good kind.
