Two days back we conducted a meeting with all our Evaluators. The topic of discussion was what else could be done to promote self studying practices. Rank holders and interview appeared aspirants had a very fruitful discussion and below points came out of it. We as a ConvertIAS family are proud of the work that has been done and we promise will come up with more innovative ideas and collaboration to help student community

Do you think that toppers have more knowledge than the people who were not selected?

Try to answer the question yourself and you will find that it cannot be possibly true in all cases. There are aspirants who are much more knowledgeable but still couldn't make it to the list. The Rank holders apart from the luck have one more thing in their favor, their ability to express and meet the demand of the question with whatever knowledge they have. The same material is being circulated all over the country and given the advent of the Internet, anyone can access the content from any corner. Now the only difference is who is better at expressing it.

Can the skill set be acquired?

Again try to answer this yourself and you will find an answer in the question itself. Answer writing is a skill and every skill could be learned given proper practice and dedication. Pick up a pen and try to answer questions on whatever syllabus you have covered.

How does it help?

Writing will make you realize the blunders you have made while reading and what all things you should have remembered and next time you cover any topic your mind will automatically mark important things and develop the thought process.

To serve the same purpose we have started ConvertIAS, a community of Rank Holders and Interview Appeared aspirants who will evaluate your answers written from any source, any topic, and help you realize the mistakes you are making. Thus making your learning curve steep and on the right path.
