How to write an introduction?

The first paragraph of your answer can be considered as an introduction. An introduction shows your understanding level of the question. The usual way of giving an introduction to an answer is by defining the concept in the given question. Although it is one of the good approaches, the majority of the students are going to give the same as an introduction and your answer will be one among them.

Other better approaches to intro:

- Current News relevant to the question

- Appropriate data of any reports or indices

It is advisable to use all these methods in a rotation in your full length test to avoid monotony.

Also, remember that introduction will not fetch any marks, hence it should be written in a short and précise manner.

How to write Body of a question?

Body
: Here begins the actual answer of the question in which you should start explaining the demand of the question. Even though, you have enormous content about the given question, the examiner expects you to address only the demand of the question. Writing beyond the scope of the question will not fetch you any mark as well as it wastes your precious time (At times, it might reduce your actual mark)

For example, Consider, “Discuss about the socio economic consequences of Poverty in India?”
You may know the causes of the poverty and tend to write the same. But in the given question, the content is irrelevant. Also, the question specifically demands you to discuss the social and economic impact and you should be careful in not discussing the other impact like political, technological etc.
