The convention may still be a few months away - but we're already thinking ahead to 2025! We'd like your suggestions for future Community Spotlight! To let us know your thoughts, head here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2VDRH36
ConFuzzled are pleased to announce our Charity for 2024, The British Wildlife Rescue Centre!

The British Wildlife Rescue Centre is Staffordshire’s only dedicated wildlife hospital, rescue and rehabilitation facility, and we look forward to welcoming them to the convention this year! You can read more about them here: https://confuzzled.org.uk/about-us/charity/
As we've seen a bit of chatter on this, we want to be clear: We do not allow dropshippers, or resellers of wholesale merch in our Dealers Den and having double-checked would like to assure you that NO such dealers have a table in our den for 2024. Any rumours to the contrary are incorrect.

We would also like to make it known that approved Dealers may also not 'resell' this type of merchandise. The Den -just like ConFuzzled- is a place 'by furries, for furries' - and we want to fill it with artists and makers from the furry community!

Should any Dealer be found to be selling items from these sites at the Convention, they will be asked to remove them from sale.
Our Terms & Conditions can be found here: https://confuzzled.org.uk/events/dealers-den/dealers-den-terms-conditions/
Thanks to everyone who's applied for a Dealer pop-up shop space! We've had a lot of applications so we're going to close for now while we review what we've got so far, and get in touch with applicants.
Pre-reg for Art-Show & Auction is now OPEN! Go here to pre-register your items: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2JLJD3Y

(you can submit the form more than once if you are selling multiple items).

Closing date is 9th May, 9PM

Reminder! We're still open to your suggestions for Community Spotlight 2025! Let us know your ideas here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2VDRH36
Community Spotlight (Branston) is looking to run a panel at ConFuzzled 2024 that acts as a round-table / Q&A covering how to get into volunteering and charity work.

If you are interested in speaking on the panel please fill out the form here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H263GZC
Mark is one of the founders of the furry community, and also a co-founder of the very first furry convention (ConFurence).

Following a stroke and a diagnosis of stage-4 cancer, he is in all our thoughts.

Sponsor upgrades are now sold out! Thank you all for your continued support of the convention!
We are very sad to hear of the passing of Mark Merlino, aka Sy Sable. Founder in the community, and true fandom original.
We share our condolences with the Prancing Skiltaire house, and all those closest to him at this time.
We just want to bring you all up to speed on some changes that are occurring with our Security team, as well as to explain why this is happening.

After the end of the last convention cycle the Directors began looking into what budget we could provide for training and courses for our staff and crew that could improve our services for attendees, and give something back to those crew and staff members. This includes mental health first aid courses, SIA training, manual handling and other training.

In the course of this investigation we sought legal advice from our solicitors as to how we could recompense volunteers and whether professional licensing such as SIA (for security) would be appropriate for our kind of event. The solicitor informed us that current legislation prevents volunteers providing any SIA licensed services (for example physically stopping people) in any part of a licensed premises (An area where the sale of alcohol is allowed). After this we confirmed with the Hilton that their entire premises (including the outside) are licensed premises.

Our legal advice suggests that we should repurpose our security team, and rename it to avoid confusion. This suggested team name would be called “Stewards”, and provide stewarding, similar to what you will have encountered at any festival, theatre, or gig, but that they cannot engage in the physical interventions that come under the purview of SIA licenses.

At ConFuzzled, the safety and security of our attendees is of paramount importance to us. With that in mind, we want to take the opportunity to reassure you that this will in no way compromise our ability to deliver on this front.

First, whilst our own stewards will not be operating in an SIA capacity, the Hotel itself does have their own security personnel onsite and we are consulting to bring in external security like what you’ve seen at ScotiaCon. As such, we will still have the ability to respond to any security incidents that may occur. Our Welfare team will operate closely with those security staff, and indeed already do this as part of their normal routine.

Second, the reporting mechanisms for you are likely to remain unchanged. If you need to talk to our team to report a problem during the convention, you can follow the same processes as before. This includes options like approaching a member of the stewarding staff, or speaking to Convention Operations, at the Con-Ops desk.

Work is ongoing to ensure the best possible safety is provided for our attendees, and we want you to be confident that our team will always give this the highest priority.

Best wishes

ConFuzzled is excited to announce some amazing news - for one night only during the convention, Animalz is taking over the nightclub!

For those of you who've been to Animalz before, you'll know what to expect! If you haven't - then be prepared for a wilder nightclub experience. Both pups and furs will be welcome - and yes, that means gear too!

We'll be sharing some fresh guidance around what you can wear for Animalz@ConFuzzled, along with a sign-up process for a free entry, exclusive for all registered ConFuzzled attendees (both advance and on-the-door signup available).

We're not changing the convention away from being a furry-focused event, but we know people express themselves in a range of different ways, and we want to ensure we're inclusive of that, and this is a great step in the right direction!

We'll have more to share soon, but in the meantime, get hyped!
ATTENTION DEALERS: Action Required

Our Den team are now into the final planning stages for table locations, and as such, by 17th March, we need to ensure you’ve supplied the following (via the registration system Dealers Den Dashboard):

+Neighbour Requests (must be mutually agreed)
+Any requests not to be located near another particular dealer
+Any and all medical information (especially anything that might impact your table location)
+Double check any trade name, shop description etc is correct.
+Ensure you have entered assistant badge numbers (only one per table permitted - unless by special arrangement with our Den team)

It’s vital that we have the relevant information supplied in advance, as these will be the details that go into our conbook to help identify you and your table location to attendees visiting the den, and in turn help you share with your customers where they can find you!

Please ensure all the above information has been supplied by the end of 17th March. If you have any questions or concerns, or are having problems accessing the Dealers Dashboard in the reg system, please contact dealersden@confuzzled.org.uk

Many thanks!
Pop-Up Shop Applicants!
