Following the popularity of the events last year, we 're bringing back our eSports tournaments at ConFuzzled 2019. This year we have four games lined up for you to play: Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League 3v3, MarioKart 8 DX and Dragonball FighterZ.

Finals will once again be played on main-stage (Monday 27th 14:00-16:00), so you can catch all those nail-bitingly tense moments as teams and players battle head-to-head to see who’s got the reactions and skills to take the victory!

If you want to take part in the Dragonball FighterZ or Rocket League tournaments, we ask you to sign up in advance using the forms available below. Rocket League will be played as 3v3 games, however you can either sign up as a whole 3-person team, or individually. If you sign up as an individual we'll do our best to match up players to make complete teams.

DB FighterZ – https://forms.gle/hmoNBghcu1JGf8tm9

Rocket League – https://forms.gle/kAfBqw9H2SHWpriR7

Players looking to take part in the Super Smash Brothers or MarioKart tournaments will just need to turn up and battle it out at the convention. Currently these tournaments are scheduled for Sunday - Smash Ultimate at 11:30-13:00 and MarioKart at 14:00-16:00. Please check our online schedule (https://confuzzled2019.sched.com/) for any changes.

We’re also looking for casters (commentators) to help out for the finals! If you feel confident in your ability to talk non-stop about one of these games, please email resine@confuzzled.org.uk

If you have any questions regarding these tournaments or the finals on main stage, please email resine@confuzzled.org.uk

We look forward to see you all take part!

Hi everyone! :)

Since ConFuzzled registration closed on the 4th of May, we've had an inordinate number of people contacting us asking for significant changes to their registrations or requesting cancellations/transfers, with some arguing their points quite rudely.

As stated previously, we <3 you all and greatly appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for ConFuzzled. We know that some may find this problematic, and in that case we sincerely apologise.

However closed means CLOSED.

We will not issue any further day tickets. We will not accept requests for transfers or refunds. We will not accept requests for alterations to rooms or tickets. Nor will we be tolerating rude behaviour towards our staff.

Whilst we do understand that some people are unhappy, we feel compelled to point out that registration deadlines were widely published on multiple channels including our website, Twitter, Telegram and our e-mail newsletter. Registration was open for 7-8 months depending upon attending type, with over 2000 of you successfully submitting your registrations and changes prior to the deadlines.

There are numerous reasons for our current policies regarding registration and its deadlines. These include ensuring that we can submit accurate and finalised attendee data to our venues, pay our bills in good time, and generally ensuring that the convention runs smoothly for all of our prospective attendees. Rest-assured there is nothing arbitrary about these decisions. We want as many people as possible to be able to attend; that's one of our goals. Sadly, however, we must apply certain deadlines. It's just a reality of how we have to operate.

We want to make the convention the best it can be for you, our awesome attendees. We are sorry if anyone feels let down. This is never fun. Thank you all so much for your patience and support. We look forward to seeing you at ConFuzzled 2019 and beyond!

Kind regards,

Beshon

Head of Registration
You must have valid ID to attend the convention. No ID, No Registration! Check your ID now, and make sure you know where it is, and that it is still in-date!

Need to get ID in a hurry? Many Pass scheme card suppliers offer 'urgent' applications. http://www.pass-scheme.org.uk/card-suppliers/

Don't get caught out, check your ID, and apply for a new one soon if you need to.
We've now sent out our usual 'ConFuzzled Essential Email' for all attendees registered for the convention. You should see it in your inbox soon. Can't find it? You can also see the same content online here: https://2019.confuzzled.org.uk/2019/05/15/confuzzled-essential-information/
Submitting items to the art show & auction this year? We fixed it so that you /won't/ need your conbadge to drop off your items (just your badge number). This should help as we know our registration lines may be a little long! ;)
Just a quick reminder: With the closure of the NatWest at the NEC last year, the nearest ATMs that don't charge a fee are at Resorts World, Birmingham International railway station and the Airport.

The nearest ATMs dispensing £5 notes are at Asda Chelmsley Wood and Morrisons, Halifax and TSB in Sheldon (along the A45 towards Birmingham).
Hope you're all looking forward to the convention next week! Started packing yet?

Time for another reminder: Whilst we'll be posting the most important updates during the convention here, our Convention Operations team will also be running the at-con Twitter feed again. Follow them here: https://twitter.com/CFzLive
Railway timetables changed today, so if you're coming to the convention by train, don't forget to check your times in case they've changed!

When doing so, remember to look for times to Birmingham International [BHI] rather than Moor Street, New Street or Snow Hill.
We've recently sent out an email for those of you who may be new to ConFuzzled (or furry conventions in general). If you can't see the mail in your inbox (or junk mail), then don't worry - you can read the content here: https://2019.confuzzled.org.uk/2019/05/19/new-to-confuzzled/
This year we're holding a charity raffle to support Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre! There are two prizes of a Super-Sponsor Upgrade up for grabs, for you and a +1!

Tickets are on-sale in the registration room at our 'finance desk' (they handle the monies). Cost: £5 per strip of tickets.

The prize draw will happen at our opening ceremony on Friday evening!

Already a Super Sponsor but want to enter anyway? You can still do so, and then bestow the upgrade onto a friend if you win!

So, remember to enter during registration on Thursday or Friday!

[Only open to CFz attendees. multiple entries permitted. draw will be held 24/5/2019, 2000-2100. no cash alternative or substitutions. meal option is chef's choice. errors & omissions excempt]
Quick update: Our RPG Signups are now closed!

To check if you've been successful, you'll be able to check the sign-up sheets in the library (due to be posted up 1PM on Friday) at the convention, or to sign up for games which still have spaces.
