ConFuzzled 2019 » GameJam 2019!
Convention in Birmingham, United Kingdom, 24 to 28 May 2019
Don't forget you can optionally customise your convention badge by adding a picture! Just login to https://reg.confuzzled.org.uk and click 'Upload Badge Picture'. Please be sure your photo is SFW - and no, animated GIFS don't work! :P
You've got until 4th May at 7PM to do this, and the same goes for fusuit badges!
The first fursuit badge is free! Note: you do not need a fursuit badge to access fursuit lounges etc, nor do you need one to suit at ConFuzzled - it is purely a novelty item. However it's also a cool way to identify to others what suit you wear when you're back in your human-costume! ;)
To upload a Fursuit Badge, please log in to your registration, then select "Fursuit Badges" from the right hand menu. Click on "Add a new badge", then click on the pencil icon. Please enter your fursuit's name and species in the appropriate boxes, and upload a photo. Make sure that you click "Return to Fursuit Badges" after saving, then go back to edit the badge, to make sure all details are correct.
Photos must be SFW, and cannot exceed 800x1200 pixels and 2MB in size. We recommend uploading a square photo at 600x600 for best results.
The first fursuit badge is free but any subsequent badges will cost £3 and will be added to your registration payment, to be paid in advance of the convention in the same manner as your main convention registration.
Fursuit badge photos must be submitted in advance - they cannot be requested at-con.
Pickup for both convention and fursuit badges will be at main registration. If you are unable to make it to the main registration pickup times (for example if you're attending on a day-pass), then you can instead collect these from Convention-Operations ('ConOps') - just ask a member of staff for directions.

Did you ever watch a movie and think how cool it would be to make something like that? Do you enjoy chilling out with friends watching films together? Would you love to make something that would be shown to a live audience? Well now is your chance to make something great for people to enjoy!
Our amateur movie festival, “Fuzz Focus”, allows people of all skill levels to make a short film for fun. This is not a competition but something that is designed to be a way for you all to make something entertaining or meaningful.
We would love to see original content such as but not limited to:
+Animation (traditional, CGI, Machinima etc.)
+Comedy skits
+Narrative driven short films
+Theme related movies (spies are cool!)
The length of the submissions should be no longer than 10 minutes and be submitted in mp4 format and at a minimum of 720p resolution. Submissions should be in landscape (unless it is related to the narrative of the film). You are welcome to create something on your own or with a group of people (one of which should be attending ConFuzzled).
Submissions can deal with adult themes but we will not accept submissions that consist of or include:
+Pornography
+Gore
+Drug use
+Anti-social acts
+Improper use of intellectual property
When making your films, do not put yourselves into unnecessary danger or commit any offences.
If you are interested in taking part and / or have any questions please send an email to rikmccloud@confuzzled.org.uk. Otherwise, once you have your submission simply fill out the form linked below. A title, a brief description of the film (100 words max) and a list of the people involved should be included with your submission. The final acceptance date for submissions will be 19th May 2019. Happy creating!

Following the popularity of the events last year, we 're bringing back our eSports tournaments at ConFuzzled 2019. This year we have four games lined up for you to play: Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League 3v3, MarioKart 8 DX and Dragonball FighterZ.
Finals will once again be played on main-stage (Monday 27th 14:00-16:00), so you can catch all those nail-bitingly tense moments as teams and players battle head-to-head to see who’s got the reactions and skills to take the victory!
If you want to take part in the Dragonball FighterZ or Rocket League tournaments, we ask you to sign up in advance using the forms available below. Rocket League will be played as 3v3 games, however you can either sign up as a whole 3-person team, or individually. If you sign up as an individual we'll do our best to match up players to make complete teams.
DB FighterZ – https://forms.gle/hmoNBghcu1JGf8tm9
Rocket League – https://forms.gle/kAfBqw9H2SHWpriR7
Players looking to take part in the Super Smash Brothers or MarioKart tournaments will just need to turn up and battle it out at the convention. Currently these tournaments are scheduled for Sunday - Smash Ultimate at 11:30-13:00 and MarioKart at 14:00-16:00. Please check our online schedule (https://confuzzled2019.sched.com/) for any changes.
We’re also looking for casters (commentators) to help out for the finals! If you feel confident in your ability to talk non-stop about one of these games, please email resine@confuzzled.org.uk
If you have any questions regarding these tournaments or the finals on main stage, please email resine@confuzzled.org.uk
We look forward to see you all take part!

Hi everyone! :)
Since ConFuzzled registration closed on the 4th of May, we've had an inordinate number of people contacting us asking for significant changes to their registrations or requesting cancellations/transfers, with some arguing their points quite rudely.
As stated previously, we <3 you all and greatly appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for ConFuzzled. We know that some may find this problematic, and in that case we sincerely apologise.
However closed means CLOSED.
We will not issue any further day tickets. We will not accept requests for transfers or refunds. We will not accept requests for alterations to rooms or tickets. Nor will we be tolerating rude behaviour towards our staff.
Whilst we do understand that some people are unhappy, we feel compelled to point out that registration deadlines were widely published on multiple channels including our website, Twitter, Telegram and our e-mail newsletter. Registration was open for 7-8 months depending upon attending type, with over 2000 of you successfully submitting your registrations and changes prior to the deadlines.
There are numerous reasons for our current policies regarding registration and its deadlines. These include ensuring that we can submit accurate and finalised attendee data to our venues, pay our bills in good time, and generally ensuring that the convention runs smoothly for all of our prospective attendees. Rest-assured there is nothing arbitrary about these decisions. We want as many people as possible to be able to attend; that's one of our goals. Sadly, however, we must apply certain deadlines. It's just a reality of how we have to operate.
We want to make the convention the best it can be for you, our awesome attendees. We are sorry if anyone feels let down. This is never fun. Thank you all so much for your patience and support. We look forward to seeing you at ConFuzzled 2019 and beyond!
Kind regards,
Beshon

Convention in Birmingham, United Kingdom, 24 to 28 May 2019
Submitting items to the art show & auction this year? We fixed it so that you /won't/ need your conbadge to drop off your items (just your badge number). This should help as we know our registration lines may be a little long! ;)
Just a quick reminder: With the closure of the NatWest at the NEC last year, the nearest ATMs that don't charge a fee are at Resorts World, Birmingham International railway station and the Airport.
The nearest ATMs dispensing £5 notes are at Asda Chelmsley Wood and Morrisons, Halifax and TSB in Sheldon (along the A45 towards Birmingham).
