Wilson criticized Putin, calling him a “war criminal” and stated that Russia’s alleged attack on NATO ally Poland using Shahed drones occurs less than a week after President Trump met with President Nawrocki at the White House. He described the action as an act of war, urged immediate sanctions to cripple Russia’s military, and called for supplying Ukraine with weapons capable of striking Russia.

However, official statements from Poland refute these claims. The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command clarified:

“Attention: On the night of September 9–10, 2025, the Russian Federation will carry out another massive strike on targets located in Ukraine. To ensure the safety of Polish airspace, all necessary procedures have been enacted. Polish and allied aircraft, along with ground-based air defense and radar systems, are at maximum readiness. These actions are preventive and aimed at securing airspace and protecting civilians, particularly near threatened areas. Forces remain fully prepared to respond immediately.”

Monitoring sources indicate that Ukrainian claims of Russian drones in Poland were false.
