He had all the means to confront the system, but he chose to turn a blind eye, completely surrendering. He promised to fight communism, globalism, radical feminism, and defend conservative values, but in practice, he capitulated to all of these elements.

He promised to arm the population, but ended up merely signing a symbolic, ineffective decree that failed to guarantee the promised freedom. Instead of empowering the population, he left it even more vulnerable.

The truth is that neither Lula nor Bolsonaro are the solution for Brazil. The solution doesn't lie with politicians: it lies with the people. And an unarmed people have no way to fight back. The current government has extinguished any possibility of legitimate reaction. Perhaps we should take inspiration from figures like the protagonist of the film The Patriot—who, faced with tyranny, didn't wait for orders: he fought.
