One point I do not see people talk about is that this does also benefit the US.

The US considers Iran to be one of its main adversaries like Russia and China. By attacking and weakening Iran, the US would be able to put more energy into a war with China, which is expected in 2027.

To be clear, this is not me saying what they are doing is right. It is only an analysis of the benefits to the US.
