Russian Studio Releases 1st Deepfake Online Series 🔥

A Russian film studio has released what is claimed to be the world’s first TV series made with Deepfake technology, “starring” the likenesses of Jason Statham, Margot Robbie, Keanu Reeves and Robert Pattinson.

Agenda Media Group’s “PMZheison” sets Jason Statham in a Russian village, where his friends join him for his 60th birthday. The three-minute episodes have been released on social networks.

AMG hasn’t specified whether the actual actors gave permission to use their images in this series, but studio CEO Maria Artemova said that using likenesses of actors via Deepfake technology is not legally prohibited, as long as nothing defamatory is portrayed.
