Robert Telles was pulling down six figures in that job as Clark County, NV administrator. $119k in base pay and another $50k or so in benefits.
And all of a sudden, thanks to an investigative reporter exposing him, he lost the primary in June and had to leave that job and go find a new one. And his corruption now being public record would make that much harder to do.

My current theory about what this classified information is that Danchenko was so keen to use in his defense at his trial - slated to begin on Oct. 11 - is that Danchenko knew it was safe to return to the US and work for the Clinton campaign because he'd been recruited as an intelligence asset by a federal agency.
