We spent the last 5 days in Austin Texas. My oldest daughter lives there. We were listening to an AM radio station one morning with 3 hosts. There were 2 men and a woman discussing a recent meeting of the city council on homelessness. They were debating the options of homeless camps versus housing as if they were the only possible options.

How about NO. The taxpayers living in Austin do not owe homeless ppl anything. Not a house, apartment or a tent site. The American answer is encourage nonprofits with rehab capabilities to clean them up, teach job skills and if they aren’t interested GET THE HELL OUT OF TOWN.

stop facilitating ppl to destroy themselves with drugs, alcohol etc. How is that humane? There are help wanted signs everywhere in Austin but these ppl aren’t smart enough to realize paying ppl to destroy themselves while good jobs go vacant and the taxpayer is stressed MAKES ZERO SENSE.
