If confirmed, a Russian seizure of Luhansk province would provide its forces a stronger base to capture Donetsk, the other province that makes up the Donbas, one of Russia’s main targets in the war.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin that Russia’s troops, with members of a local separatist militia, “have established full control over the city of Lysychansk” and now hold all of Luhansk, according to a ministry statement published Sunday.

Halifax customers are closing their accounts en masse today after its social media team told them to leave if they don't like their new pronoun badges for staff in what is being branded one of the biggest PR disasters in British business history.
☑️ Bank posted a badge of employee called Gemma which read 'she/her/hers' and added: 'Pronouns matter'
☑️ Customers replied to accuse the bank of 'pathetic virtue signalling' and 'alienating' many customers
☑️ Within minutes Andy M, a member of the social media team, said 'You're welcome to close your account'
'Just closed my Halifax account. They can stick their pronouns up their/his/her arse.'
