قُلۡ يٰعِبَادِىَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَسۡرَفُوۡا عَلٰٓى اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُوۡا مِنۡ رَّحۡمَةِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَغۡفِرُ الذُّنُوۡبَ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ‏(٥٣)

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. It is He who is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

كما يَفِرُّ العبدُ من النار المحسوسةِ خشيةَ إيلامِ بدنِه، فلْيَفِرَّ من الذنْب خشيةَ إيلام قلبه؛ فإنَّ ألمَ القلبِ وموتَه أشدُّ من ألم البدن وموتِه.

Sh. Sālih Al-'Usaymī said:
"Just as the servant flees from the physical fire out of fear of the harm of his body, let him flee from sin out of fear of the harm of his heart. Surely the anguish of the heart and its death is more severe than the anguish of the body and its death."

‏قال الإمام ابن القيم رحمه الله

"صوت القرآن
يسكن النفوس ويطمئنها ويوقرها

وصوت الغناء
يستفزها ويزعجها ويهيجها."

ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“The sound of the Qur’an soothes the souls, gives it tranquility and causes it to be calm.

The sound of music causes the hearts to become agitated, distressed and disturbed causing it [a feeling of] unease.”

قال الشيخ محمد الصالح ابن عثيمين رحمه الله:

لن ينجح العرب فيما أعتقد - والعلم عند الله - في استرداد أرض فلسطين باسم العروبة أبدا؛

ولا يمكن أن يستردوها إلا باسم الإسلام على ما كان عليه النبي ﷺ ، وأصحابه، كما قال تعالى: (إن الأرض لله يورثها من يشاء من عباده والعاقبة للمتقين) [الأعراف: ١٢٨]؛

ومهما حاول العرب، ومهما ملؤوا الدنيا من الأقوال والاحتجاجات، فإنهم لن يفلحوا أبدا حتى ينادوا بإخراج الييهود منها باسم دين الإسلام،

بعد أن يطبقوه في أنفسهم؛ فإن هم فعلوا ذلك فسوف يتحقق لهم ما أخبر به النبي ﷺ :"لا تقوم الساعة حتى يقاتل المسلمون الييهود، فيقتلهم المسلمون حتى يختبئ الييهودي من وراء الحجر، والشجر، فيقول الحجر، أو الشجر: يا مسلم، يا عبد الله، هذا ييهودي خلفي، فتعال فاقتله" [متفق عليه]

فالشجر، والحجر يدل المسلمين على الييهود يقول: "يا عبد الله" باسم العبودية لله، ويقول: "يا مسلم." باسم الإسلام.؛

والرسول ﷺ يقول: "يقاتل المسلمون اليهود"، ولم يقل: "العرب".

ولهذا أقول:
إننا لن نقضي على الييهود باسم العروبة أبدا؛ لن نقضي عليهم إلا باسم الإسلام؛ ومن شاء فليقرأ قوله تعالى: (ولقد كتبنا في الزبور من بعد الذكر أن الأرض يرثها عبادي الصالحون) [الأنبياء: ١٠٥]

The Arabs will not succeed from what I believe - and the knowledge is with Allah - in returning the land of Palestine in the name of Arabism, ever.

They will not be able to return it except in the name of Islam, the Islam that the Prophet SAW was upon and his companions.

As Allah said: "The earth belongs to Allah, He makes it be inherited to whomever He wants of His slaves; and the end shall be to the pious" (Surat al-Araf: 128)

And it does not matter however the Arabs try, and however they fill the world with statements and objections, for they will not be successful until they call for the Jews to be expelled from it (Palestine) in the name of Islam, after they apply it to themselves. If they thus do that, it will come to them what the Prophet SAW foretold: The Hour will not be established until the Muslims fight the Jews. Subsequently the Muslims will kill the Jews, until a Jew will hide behind a stone or a tree, so the stone will say: "Oh Muslim, Oh Servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come here and kill him" (Bukhari and Muslim)

The stone and the tree will thus inform the Muslims, and says "Oh Muslim,” in the name of Islam. And the Prophet SAW says "The Muslims will fight the Jews" and he did not say "The Arabs.”

Because of this I say:
We will never be able to defeat the Jews under the name of Arabism; we will never defeat them except under the name of Islam. And whoever wants, may read Allahs statement: "And verily we have written in the Book, after the Reminder, that the earth shall be enherited by My pious servants" (Al-Anbiya: 105)

قيل للإمام مالك بن أنس: كيف أصبحت؟
فقال: "في عمر ينقص، وذنوب تزيد."

It was said to Imam Malik bin Anas: How have you entered this morning?
He said: "In constant decrease of my life span, and an increase in sins ."

قال العلامة ابن عثيمين رحمه الله: "لا تحقر أخاك المسلم؛ حتى لو لم يفهم مسألة بسيطة فلا تحتقره، فلعل الله يفتح عليه، ويتعلم من العلم ما يكون به أعلم منك."

Shaykh Uthaymīn RahimahuAllah said:
Don’t look down upon your muslim brother, even if he doesn’t understand a simple issue, don’t look down upon him. Perhaps Allah might open for him so he learns from knowledge what would make him more knowledgeable than you.

‏والله في عون العبد ما دام العبد في عون أخيه.

Do you have any advice for the student of knowledge who is a beginner?

Answer: “The advice I have to offer to every person is that he purifies his intention for the sake of Allāh, the Almighty and Majestic. His objective should neither be leadership, nor fame, nor wealth; rather his intention [first and foremost] should be removal of ignorance from himself and [then] from others. He should establish the religion, preserve, protect and defend it. This is the most virtuous of things.”

“Put your trust in the Ever-Living, Who never dies, and glorify His praises. Sufficient is He as All-Aware of the sins of His servants.”

فمحبة العلم من علامات السعادة، وبغض العلم من علامات الشقاوة.

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawzeeyah Rahimahuallah said:

"Loving knowledge is from the signs of delight and happiness.

Hating knowledge is from the signs of wretchedness and misery."

قال شيخ الإسلام رحمه الله:

وليس من شرط المتقين ونحوهم أن لا يقع منهم ذنب بل من تاب من ذنوبه دخل في المتقين."

Shaykh al-Islam ibn-Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

It is not conditional for the pious and their likes that they do not fall into sin, rather whoever repents from his sins enters into the pious.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “All of the son of Ādam is eaten by earth (after death) except for the tail-bone, from it he was created and on it (he) will be reconstructed (on the Day of Judgement).”

[سنن أبي داود ٤٧٤٣، صححه الألباني]

قال الامام البخاري:

وكنت أختلف إلى الفقهاء بمرو، وأنا صبي، فإذا جئت أستحي أن أسلِّم عليهم، فقال لي مؤدب من أهلها: كم كتبت اليوم؟ فقلت: اثنين، وأردت بذلك حديثين، فضحك من حضر المجلس، فقال شیخ منهم: لا تضحكوا، فلعله يضحك منكم يوماً.

Imam Al-Bukhari said:

"I cautiously differed with the jurists [scholars} while I was a young boy, so when I came {to the gathering] I was too shy to greet them [with salaam} so one of the teachers said to me: "How many have you written today?" So I said: "Two", by that I intended two ahadith. Then those who attended the gathering started to laugh {at Bukhari], then a Shaykh amongst them said: "Don’t laugh at him, for perhaps he will laugh at you one day."

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ أَبُو سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلاَثٌ إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ، وَإِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ."

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three:

1. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
2. Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise).
3. If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep something as a trust with him, he will not return it).”

[Sahih al-Bukhari 33]

لله ملك السموات والأرض، واستقرض منك حبة فبخلت بها، وخلق سبعة أبحر وأحب منك دمعةً فقحطت عينك بها.

To Allaah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, yet He asks a loan from you (i.e. giving charity) but you are stingy. He created the seven seas, but He loved a tear from you (out of fear of Him) but your eyes were tearless.

هي اسم جامع لكل ما يحبه الله ويرضاه من الأقوال
والأعمـال الظاهرة والباطنة

What is Worship?
Worship (al-’Ibaadah) is a comprehensive term covering everything that Allaah loves and is pleased with – whether saying, or actions, outward and inward.

والرب هو المعبود، والدليل ‏قوله تعالى:

The word Rabb (the Lord) is the One who is worshipped. The proof for this is Allaah's saying:

يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعۡبُدُوۡا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُوۡنَ ۙ‏ ﴿2:21﴾ الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ لَـكُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ فِرَاشًا وَّالسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً وَّاَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَخۡرَجَ بِهٖ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ رِزۡقًا لَّـكُمۡ ۚ فَلَا تَجۡعَلُوۡا لِلّٰهِ اَنۡدَادًا وَّاَنۡـتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ‏ ﴿2:22﴾

O mankind! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, so that you may be dutiful to Him. He is the one who made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. So do no set up rivals with Allaah in worship knowingly.
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 21-22]

قال ابن كثير رحمه الله تعالى: "الخالقُ لهذهِ الأشياءِ هو ‏المستحقُ للعِبَادة."

Ibn Katheer, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: “The Creator of these things is the One who truly deserves to be worshiped."

كما قال ابن القيم في النونية:
وعباد الرحمنِ غاية حبهِ
مع ذُل عابده هما قطبان ‏

As was said by Ibn al-Qayyim in An- Nooniyyah:
And worship of the Most Merciful One is to have the utmost love of Him,
Along with humble submission of his servant, they are the two pivots.

وأنواع العبادة التي أمر الله بها مثل الإسلام، والإيمان، والإحسان

And the types of worship which Allaah has commanded such as al-Islām, and al-Imān and al-Ihsān.

‏هذه ‏الأنواع الثلاثة أعظم أنواع ‏العبادات

These three types are from the greatest types of worship.
