Notice Deposit/Withdrawal suspension for Bitcoin(BTC) due to Taproot Upgrade
Dear Upbit users,
Deposit/withdrawal for BTC will be temporarily suspended due to Taproot (softfork) upgrade.
Please refer to the detail below.
BTC Taproot Upgrade Details
- Taproot upgrade schedule : Nov 14th, 2021 (Block height : 709,632)

Deposit/withdrawal suspension timeline
- Nov 14th, 2021 7:00 AM (KST) ~ After confirming the stability of BTC Taproot network upgrade, a separate announcement will be made for the completion of the network upgrade.
If you attempt to deposit BTC after deposit/withdrawal have been suspended, the deposit amount may not be reflected in your Upbit account. The amount may may take time to recover.
Please refrain from depositing BTC during the suspension.
In case of any schedule changes will be notified through this announcement.
[Resumption of Deposit/withdrawal]
- This announcement will be updated once the stability of the BTC Taproot is confirmed.
Any unexpected events regarding the resumption of deposits/withdrawal will be notified through this announcement.
