WBTC has highest burn amount ever.
10,000 WBTC were burned on December 6th in a single transaction, marking a new all time high for daily WBTC burns. The address doing the burning was 0x18c5f, which also burned 5,000 WBTC just 4 days earlier. (The address still has an approved allowance of 40,000 WBTC.)
Previously, the most amount of burns on a given day was 9,950 on July 13th. However, the burns came from several different parties, including 6,000 from Alameda Research and 550 from Coinlist.
Since only one address burned all the WBTC, it doesn’t look like this was some mass panic conversion.

ETH spot to futures volumes drops below Merge levels:
The spot to futures volume ratio for ether has been sinking since lower mid-November, with the 30-day moving average of reaching 0.11, the lowest it has been in 2022.
Looking at spot volumes, ETH and BTC largely follow the same trend, but after July the difference in the 7-day moving average of volumes has grown.
Ether futures volumes increased from October to November but are so far on pace to not drop in December, with only $174.7 billion in volumes already a third into the month.
The spot to futures ratio of BTC has also been dropping more recently, after trending upward for the majority of the year, but still remains roughly 4 times as high as that of ether at 0.42.
