[India warns AI-enabled hackers are expanding attacks on crypto exchanges]

India’s national cybersecurity agency warned AI-enabled hacking groups are expanding cyberattacks against cryptocurrency exchanges and financial firms, stealing wallet private keys and funds.

According to Cointelegraph, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, said in a security advisory issued on Nov. 4 local time that it had named the threat actor “CRAFTY FALCON.” The notice was a follow-up to an attack campaign first detected and flagged in October. This time, it explicitly identified cryptocurrency exchanges as targets and disclosed more specific signs of the use of AI-based attack tools.

CERT-In said the attacks are ongoing and additional breaches have been reported even at non-bank financial companies and fintech firms that had implemented response measures following the earlier security warning.

[Bitcoin cycle bottom still unconfirmed, downside risk remains]

Bitcoin’s cycle strength is weakening, but extreme signals typically seen at major turning points have yet to appear, according to CryptoQuant contributor CryptoOnchain.

CryptoOnchain said the 30-day moving average of Bitcoin’s Cycle Extremes Index had fallen to 15.8%, entering the “Watch” and “Mild Pressure” range. Despite a significant correction, the index remains far from the activation phase tied to overheated market activity or more extreme conditions, the analysis said.

Historically, the index surged around Bitcoin’s 2021 peak and during the 2024-2025 rally as market volatility and trading activity increased. By contrast, current cycle strength appears to have weakened sharply. While that suggests market pressure has eased, it does not mean the risk of further declines has disappeared.

The Cycle Extreme Oscillator also supports a cautious outlook. Its 30-day moving average is near the lower end of its historical range and remains well below the 1.0 threshold that accompanied strong market moves in the past. For now, no clear cycle-extreme signal is being observed, according to the analysis.

Taken together, the two indicators suggest Bitcoin is closer to an ongoing correction and slowing market activity than to a confirmed cycle bottom. The analysis added that low indicator readings alone, even after a steep decline, are not enough to conclude selling pressure has been exhausted, and that further sideways trading or another leg down cannot be ruled out before a sustained recovery.

[Arthur Hayes warns AI IPO stock overhang could weigh on crypto]

Arthur Hayes said large-scale share overhangs following the IPOs of major AI and big tech companies such as SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI could also hurt the crypto market.

Hayes said about 8.6 billion SpaceX shares could be unlocked by the end of June next year, potentially increasing the number of shares in circulation by around 50%. Early IPO investors in Anthropic could face dilution of about 83%, while OpenAI may also choose to gradually release shares held by employees and early investors after a listing, he said. Hayes added that weaker AI stock prices could raise funding costs, and if related credit markets tighten, U.S. dollar liquidity could shrink and negatively affect crypto markets. He said BTC and other crypto assets could benefit, however, if the U.S. Federal Reserve and other major central banks begin supplying liquidity in response to a crisis.
