[Bitcoin may outperform gold, stocks into year-end amid risk-asset tailwinds]

Block Scholes research analyst Habib Rahman said Bitcoin could outperform gold and stocks as seasonal factors in November and December historically favor risk assets, according to Crypto Briefing.

Bitcoin’s 90-day correlation with gold has risen to 54%, the highest since 2014, while its correlation with the Nasdaq 100 fell to 33% from 59% in February, nearing the lowest level in about a year. Bitcoin’s correlation with the U.S. dollar index also turned the most negative since early 2023.

Rahman said the shift in correlations began in June and accelerated after the U.S. Treasury announced in August that it would expand its Treasury buyback program to curb a rise in long-term yields. In the following week, Bitcoin posted its biggest weekly gain since March 2024, while gold rose 5%.

Rahman added that with the U.S. midterm elections approaching, November and December have historically been favorable months for risk assets, pointing to the potential for additional relative strength in cryptocurrencies.

[BTC must hold $75.5K to keep uptrend intact: Hilbert Group analyst]

Bitcoin needs to hold $75,500 to preserve the uptrend structure formed since its summer low, Jesse Marre, senior portfolio manager at digital asset investment firm Hilbert Group, said in an analysis, according to Crypto Briefing.

Marre identified a short-term support zone at $78,500 to $79,500, where a trendline supporting Bitcoin’s recent sideways movement is located. Marre warned that if the decline continues below $75,500, the recovery structure built since summer could break down and send BTC back toward its previous low range.

On the upside, Bitcoin needs to reclaim $81,400 to re-enter its short-term consolidation range, Marre said. If BTC then breaks through $85,000 and $87,500 in sequence, it could rebound toward $95,000 to $98,000 depending on market conditions.

Marre pointed to rising oil prices and a selloff in AI-related tech stocks as drivers of Bitcoin’s weakness. Marre also cited the U.S. Federal Reserve’s rate decision this week as a key variable, and expects the Fed to keep rates unchanged at this meeting while maintaining a hawkish stance, citing inflation pressures and resilient economic growth.
