[Ki Young Ju says AI bubble burst may have limited impact on BTC]
CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju said Bitcoin is unlikely to take a major hit even if the artificial intelligence, or AI, bubble bursts.
In a post on X, Ki said Bitcoin had been largely left out of the AI-driven rally, adding investors who bought AI-related stocks may already have sold their Bitcoin. Ki said capital could now move back into Bitcoin, while noting an AI market collapse would not necessarily be either bullish or bearish for Bitcoin because the two markets appear unrelated.

[Senate Democrat probes alleged payments between Tether and Bo Hines-linked firm]
Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal has opened an investigation into allegations that stablecoin issuer Tether made payments to a company linked to former White House crypto policy adviser Bo Hines, CoinDesk reported.
Blumenthal, the top Democrat on the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, sent letters on Oct. 22 to Tether and Nxum Group, a consulting firm founded by Hines, Hines' father and other partners, seeking an explanation of the transactions, according to the report. The probe follows reports that Tether paid substantial consulting fees to a family-owned company tied to Hines while Hines was serving as a White House crypto policy adviser. The Wall Street Journal had earlier reported that Nxum Group provided consulting services to Tether and received large payments during Hines' White House tenure, when Hines was involved in developing stablecoin policy closely tied to Tether's business.

[HTX Research sees higher crypto market volatility over next 2 weeks]
Crypto market volatility could increase over the next two weeks as the U.S. Federal Reserve is set to decide on interest rates and key economic data releases are due, according to HTX Research analyst Chloe.
Chloe said institutional buying has been recovering, but it is still too early to call a trend reversal based on short-term fund inflows alone. The market is pricing in a rate hold in October and the possibility of an additional hike in December, so a hold alone may struggle to provide fresh upside momentum. Chloe added that the Fed’s future tightening stance is likely to shape the market’s direction.
If the Fed lowers the likelihood of further rate hikes, core personal consumption expenditures inflation comes in below expectations, and inflows into spot BTC ETFs continue, BTC could break above its short-term peak and drive further gains in Ethereum and Solana, Chloe said. On the other hand, a hawkish Fed message, hotter-than-expected inflation, or a sharp strengthening in the yen could push the market lower. Volatile altcoins in particular could face relatively heavier selling pressure, according to the analysis.
