[DAXA vice chairman urges full review of crypto tax regime]

Kim Jae-jin, vice chairman of the Digital Asset eXchange Alliance (DAXA), called for a full review of the current crypto tax system ahead of the planned January implementation of virtual-asset taxation next year, speaking at the CODEVASP Digital Asset Compliance Forum 2026 in Seoul on Oct. 2, Edaily reported.

Kim said the current law makes it difficult for individual taxpayers to make their own judgments in situations such as crypto card payments, which are now widely used. In that environment, investors could end up becoming tax evaders without realizing it, Kim added. Despite three delays, the contents of the bill remain unchanged from when they were drafted in 2020, and a comprehensive review is needed, Kim said.

[Robinhood says stock token volumes are nearing SEC exemption cap]

Robinhood’s stock token trading volume is approaching the limit allowed under the U.S. SEC’s innovation exemption, Johann Kerbrat, the company’s crypto chief, told The Block.

Kerbrat said the SEC exemption includes limits on trading volume and on the types of assets that can be tokenized. Based on Robinhood’s current stock token volume, the platform is likely to reach the allowed threshold soon, he said. Kerbrat added Robinhood plans to tokenize more U.S. stocks and ETFs as the SEC appears to understand the advantages of tokenization.

Robinhood’s stock tokens are not available to U.S. users. The SEC’s five-year innovation exemption also caps the number of tradable listings and trading volume, while requiring the tokens to carry the same rights as the underlying shares, according to the interview.

[BTC futures buy pressure hits highest since Aug. 19, analyst warns of long liquidation below $83K]

Bitcoin could face a deeper decline if it falls below $83,000, as newly opened long positions entered above that level may be unwound, on-chain analyst Axel Adler Jr. said in a blog post.

He said buy pressure in the BTC futures market had climbed to its highest level since Aug. 19, while open interest increased by about 8,900 BTC over the past 24 hours. Over the same period, BTC rose from $83,400 to $85,300. Even if buy pressure slows, holding above $85,000 could signal the market is preserving those gains, Adler said.
