[Sui, OpenAssets join development of OTAS tokenized asset standard]

Sui said it is working with OpenAssets, a tokenized real-world asset infrastructure provider, on the Open Tokenized Asset Standard (OTAS) under Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust, and plans to expand its use across the Sui ecosystem.

OTAS is an open-source standard designed to standardize how tokenized assets express identity, compliance rules and audit history so they can be represented, verified and settled across different financial systems. The goal is to make tokenized assets such as securities, funds and commodities easier to move and trade between institutions and networks without mandating any specific blockchain or technology stack. The Sui Foundation said it was one of OTAS's initial sponsors and took part from the standard's design stage.

[Latin America stablecoin market faces concentration risk in liquidity supply]

Latin America’s stablecoin ecosystem shows potential vulnerability because it relies on a small number of liquidity providers, according to a report by Veris Capital and Verda Ventures cited by Cointelegraph.

The report said only 16 of the 494 companies surveyed focused on stablecoin-to-fiat wholesale liquidity, corporate treasury services, and credit provision. It added that if key providers lose access to banking services, local currency conversion costs could rise and withdrawals could be delayed or suspended. At the same time, the report said it did not obtain trading volume or market share data showing the actual degree of liquidity concentration.

[U.S. court dismisses ME token class action against Magic Eden operator]

A U.S. court has dismissed a class action over the ME token against Magic Eden operator Euclid Labs and co-founder Zhuoxun Yin. The court said the wallet terms of service signed by users contained a valid class action waiver, stripping federal court jurisdiction over the case under the Class Action Fairness Act, and added it also lacked personal jurisdiction over Yin. The ruling applies only at the pleading stage.

Plaintiffs had previously argued that the Magic Eden platform advertised the ME token as including cross-chain and buyback features, but later turned into a gambling platform, sending the token down more than 98%.

That means states that still need additional legislation or regulatory changes can still begin the certification process, although actual review will start only after complete application materials are submitted.

A conditional filing does not count as the start of the 30-day review and decision period. The rule took effect on Sept. 30, according to CryptoSlate, but applications will not be accepted until the information-collection approval process under the Paperwork Reduction Act is completed.
