Only about 5% of the 535 members of the U.S. House and Senate, or 27 lawmakers, disclosed holdings in cryptocurrency or related digital assets after BitcoinPoliticians, an open-source project tracking crypto holdings by U.S. government officials, updated the latest public financial disclosures, according to Jameson Lopp, co-founder of Casa. The project tracks whether members of Congress hold such assets based on their public financial disclosure filings.

[Citrea acquires privacy-focused BTC wallet Crest]

Bitcoin layer Citrea said it has acquired Crest, a self-custody privacy BTC wallet, and will operate it as its flagship privacy product. Crest founder Meliksah Gurtemel will join Citrea as product lead.

Citrea said Crest plans to launch a mobile wallet within the next few weeks to support private BTC transfers and cross-chain onboarding from Bitcoin and Ethereum. The wallet is also expected to let users swap privacy-enabled BTC into USDC or ETH and send it privately to recipients. Through the acquisition, Citrea aims to bring Zcash-style privacy features to Bitcoin.

[SEC stock token rule seen benefiting ONDO, Coinbase and Uniswap]

A Cointelegraph Magazine analysis said Ondo Finance (ONDO), Coinbase and Uniswap (UNI) could benefit relatively after the U.S. SEC introduced a five-year temporary exemptive framework allowing on-chain trading of stock tokens that provide the same dividends, voting rights and other rights as actual shares.

The analysis said Ondo holds underlying shares with traditional custodians, reflects investor rights in tokens, and has broker-dealer licensing infrastructure. Coinbase also pays dividends on stock tokens backed by underlying shares. Uniswap already operates v4 Permissioned Pools, which can restrict users and liquidity providers, meaning the system could be used as trading infrastructure under the new rules.

By contrast, Robinhood’s Stock Tokens and Kraken’s xStocks do not provide the same rights as actual shares, leaving them outside the scope of the rules under their current service structures.
