Everyone says traders should have a plan, but very few explain it clearly. Today, I’d like to share a simple trading plan template for reference.
What should a trading plan include?
1⃣Initial Capital
You must clearly define how much you are willing to invest. Never deposit more money just to recover losses. Doing so breaks your plan.
2⃣A Trading System
You need a system and must strictly follow entry and exit rules throughout the entire process. Consistency is what brings results.
3⃣Profit & Risk Targets
Set clear goals for profit and acceptable risk. Break down your risk across a fixed number of trades.
→ Stop when you hit your profit target
→ Stop when you hit your loss limit
4⃣Capital & Risk Management
Manage your account based on percentages defined in your original plan.
5⃣Psychology
Remove emotions from trading. There are only two outcomes:
→ Follow the plan
→ Blow the account
Accept results and move forward.
