I almost forgot to post about something important this week Matric results are being released.
It took me back two years ago.
I still remember how scared I was.
Before the results came out, I remember hearing an interview from the Ministry of Education saying that only 3.4% of students had passed, and there were many schools in Oromia where students didn’t pass.
I knew my school wasn’t among them, but I was still afraid.
Honestly, at that time, I wasn’t expecting a high score.
I hadn’t been able to study throughout the whole year because of some reasons, so my only prayer was simple
The results were released around midnight, and I was waiting with my family.
But because so many students were trying to check their results at the same time, the connection wasn’t working.
The more I waited, the more afraid I became.
At some point, I told my family,
“I think I didn’t pass. Why can’t I see my result?” I even told them I was going to sleep.
But my family told me, “Don’t say that. Even if you didn’t pass, it’s not the end of the world.” They encouraged me, gave me advice, and reminded me
I went to my bedroom, but I couldn’t sleep. My dad was still trying to check the result.
Then, after a few minutes, I heard my dad calling me from outside my bedroom.
I will never forget the happiness in his voice.
My dad was happy. My mom was happy.
I didn’t get the highest score, but honestly, I didn’t need the highest score. At that moment, all I had asked God for was to pass and He gave me more than I expected.
Looking back now, I realize how much that moment taught me.
Sometimes, when we are afraid, we imagine the worst before we even know the outcome. But God knows the ending when we are still afraid of the beginning.

Today someone asked me, When are you graduating?
Me: Probably in 3 years.😂
But honestly, I love how some people work.
but when graduation comes where’s the ceremony?
Some people really said I won’t support the journey, but I’ll attend the celebration.
some people have zero shame.

They don’t call you while you’re struggling in university.
They don’t ask how school is going.
They don’t even check if you’re alive.
but when graduation comes where’s the ceremony?
Some people really said I won’t support the journey, but I’ll attend the celebration.

I built something I take to the heart. Derash (Fund). We have people around us and we don't know who is carrying things they were never meant to carry alone. A bill that doesn't stop growing. someone who needs help but they don't know any one to ask or they're too proud to ask. And I also know there are people who would help. I am sure of it, Not for credit or anything but to actually help people. That's why I built this. A place where someone can say plainly what they're going through, and someone else can decide to be the one who answers. The money never comes to me or the platform. It goes to them directly, into their own hands, My only job is to stand at the door and make sure the person asking is real, so that when you choose to give, you're giving to a person and not a story. I hope this will be a platform where people can be there for each other. You can check it out at
