My MongoDB learning journey continues!

Today, I completed the second part of my MongoDB learning, focusing on CRUD operations and how applications manage data.

In this lesson, I explored the four fundamental database operations:

Create โ€“ Inserting new documents into a MongoDB collection.

Read โ€“ Retrieving all documents or finding a specific document using queries.

Update โ€“ Modifying existing documents using updateOne() and the $set operator.

Delete โ€“ Removing specific documents using deleteOne().

I also learned about MongoDB ObjectId, how to identify individual documents, and how to connect database operations with REST API endpoints using Node.js and Express.

To put the concepts into practice, I continued working on my MarketMate project, a market spending and savings tracker built with React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB Atlas.

One important lesson I learned is that building a full-stack application is not just about displaying information. It is also about creating, retrieving, updating, and managing data correctly.

Every lesson and every small project is helping me understand how real-world applications work.

Still learning. Still building. One step at a time.

๐Ÿ—ฃ Sam Altman says AI is now mostly smarter than our smartest scientists

At the start of this year, he said, that wasn't true. Office work changed the same way:

"AI was mostly not able to do a lot of white-collar jobs, and now it mostly can do a lot of parts of that."

Altman spoke on Monday at the opening of ADIPEC, an oil and gas conference in Abu Dhabi. He added that there "should not be a handoff to AI."

Asked about his biggest challenge, he gave a one-word answer: "Energy." Six years ago, he said, OpenAI's heaviest internal user burned about 100,000 tokens a month. That's now roughly what an average person uses, and the top user consumes about 500 billion, The National reports.

The future of software development isn't about learning your first line of code. It's about building beyond what was possible before.

Meet Miheretab Samson, Founder of Livery, Voxide & Stark.

AI is transforming how experienced developers design, develop, and ship software. The opportunity isn't to replace your coding skills โ€” it's to amplify them.

At Fremwork, we're bringing together developers, software engineers, and experienced builders to explore advanced AI-powered development, push technical boundaries, and build real-world solutions.

This is for developers who already know how to build and are ready to build beyond the ordinary.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Don't just follow the future of development. Build it.

๐Ÿค– PROMPT ENGINEERING โ€“ PART 1
What Is Prompt Engineering, and Why Is It Important?

Have you ever asked ChatGPT a question and received an answer that was completely different from what you expected?

The problem might not be the AI. Sometimes, the problem is how we communicate with it.

This is where Prompt Engineering comes in.

What is Prompt Engineering?

Prompt Engineering is the process of designing and improving instructions given to AI systems to obtain more accurate, relevant, and useful results.

In simple words, it is the skill of telling AI what you want, how you want it, and what information it should consider.

Let's look at an example.

Weak prompt:

Explain programming.

Better prompt:

Explain Python programming to a complete beginner. Use simple English, explain each concept step by step, and provide two practical examples.

Notice the difference?

The second prompt gives AI more information about the task, audience, and expected response.

Why is Prompt Engineering important?

It helps you get better results, save time, reduce misunderstandings, generate useful content, and solve problems more effectively.

You don't need to be a programmer to learn prompt engineering. Students, teachers, developers, business owners, and professionals can all benefit from it.

Remember: AI is a powerful tool, but the quality of your instructions can make a significant difference.

Next: Anatomy of a Good Prompt.

That's wild...๐Ÿ˜… Claude is blocking REA, then the team who recently built open-source Adobe alternatives also made a new alternative for REA (Reverse Engineer Anything).

It's called Craft Anything, and it lets your Al coding agent:

~ Reverse-engineer sites, apps, & games
~ Study how existing software looks & works.
~ Compare the recreated version against the original
~ & much more

It comes with 284 tools and works as a desktop app, CLI and MCP server.

No matter how much Anthropic tries to restrict things... open-source devs are always gonna be one step ahead... lol๐Ÿ˜

Hi everyone! Iโ€™m publishing LIQverify on Google Play and need 12 Android testers for closed testing.

LIQverify helps merchants and teams verify Ethiopian bank & wallet payments from a receipt, reference, QR, or SMS - so fake receipts donโ€™t slip through.

1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/liq-tester
2. Open the testing link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=liq.liqverify.app

Use the same Google account for the group and Play Store.

GitHub Universe 2026: The Future of Software Development Is Changing
GitHub Universe 2026 took place on October 28โ€“29, bringing developers, AI researchers, startups, and technology leaders together to explore the future of software development.
This year's biggest message was clear: software development is moving toward AI-agent-powered workflows.
Here are some of the important announcements:
๐Ÿ”น GitHub Copilot App โ€“ An AI-powered workspace designed to help developers manage software tasks from issues to pull requests.
๐Ÿ”น Copilot Fusion โ€“ Selects suitable AI models for different tasks, balancing quality, speed, and cost.
๐Ÿ”น Copilot Projects โ€“ Helps coordinate multiple AI coding agents working on different parts of a larger development goal.
๐Ÿ”น Copilot Code Review Max โ€“ Provides deeper AI-powered code reviews to help identify important bugs and problems.
๐Ÿ”น Copilot Automations โ€“ Allows developers to create reusable AI workflows for tasks such as issue triage and code reviews.
๐Ÿ’ก Why does this matter?
AI is no longer just a tool that suggests code while developers type. It is increasingly becoming a system that can plan, execute, review, and coordinate parts of the software development process.
This doesn't mean developers are becoming unnecessary.
Instead, developers need to strengthen their understanding of programming fundamentals, system architecture, problem-solving, debugging, and code review.
My takeaway: The future belongs to developers who know how to build software, understand AI, and use AI agents effectivelyโ€”not those who blindly depend on generated code.
The role of a developer is evolving. It's time to evolve with it.
