๐Ÿš€ WHAT STARTED AS A SMALL CHALLENGE TURNED INTO SOMETHING MUCH BIGGER! โค๏ธ

Initially, we planned to select just 3 winners for our Practical Software Engineering with AJ course.

But more than 300 candidates participated, showing incredible effort, creativity, and genuine interest in being part of this journey.

We first selected around 10 winners, even though we had promised only 3.

Eventually, after seeing everyone's efforts, we made another decision: WE WELCOMED ALL PARTICIPANTS INTO THE COURSE! โค๏ธ

And we are expecting great success stories from this first batch!

What makes our course different?

We are not just teaching people how to code. We are focusing on helping students turn their technical skills into income, become freelancers, build real-world products, find clients, and eventually start their own tech companies.

Our goal is not just to produce people who can write code, but builders, problem solvers, freelancers, and future tech founders.

One more important decision: We are planning to pause new registrations after this first batch. We want to focus on our existing students, guide them properly, and help them achieve real results before opening the doors to more students.

We don't want to keep counting enrollments. We want to start counting success stories! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

To our first batch, welcome aboard. Let's build something meaningful together!

๐Ÿš€ Ethiopian University Students, Let's Grow Together in AI โ€” No Gatekeeping! ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿค–

Are you a university student in Ethiopia interested in Artificial Intelligence, technology, and leadership? Here's an opportunity worth exploring!

NSK AI is recruiting university Chapter Leads and offering other volunteer opportunities to help students get involved in the AI community.

๐ŸŒ Here's why you should consider applying:

You don't have to be an expert or feel completely ready to take the first step. Even if you're unsure whether you meet all the criteria for a Chapter Lead position, I encourage you to apply. Your application may also help you be considered for other volunteer roles that match your skills and interests.

With recruitment targeting around 1,000 members, there could be opportunities for many students to participate, learn, collaborate, and grow.

As a Software Engineering student at Dire Dawa University, I understand that accessing opportunities can sometimes be challenging when you're studying far from major hubs like Addis Ababa. Students across Ethiopia deserve access to the same information, opportunities, and networks, regardless of their university or location.

That's why I believe we should share opportunities rather than keep them to ourselves.

๐Ÿ“ข Let's put an end to gatekeeping!

Don't keep this opportunity within your circle. Share it with your classmates, friends, university clubs, and other students across Ethiopia. You never know whose future could change because you shared one post.

Apply to be an Nsk AI Chapter Lead here : https://forms.gle/Ce1DUQ6Jh3dMmn7f9

๐Ÿ”— Join the WhatsApp community here:

โœ… Explore the Chapter Lead recruitment.
โœ… Apply even if you're still building your confidence.
โœ… Share the opportunity with others.
โœ… Help more Ethiopian students access the AI community.

We don't all need to compete in silence. We can grow together, learn together, and create more opportunities for one another.

Your next opportunity might begin with one application โ€” or with someone sharing this post. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿš€

My MongoDB learning journey continues!

Today, I completed the second part of my MongoDB learning, focusing on CRUD operations and how applications manage data.

In this lesson, I explored the four fundamental database operations:

Create โ€“ Inserting new documents into a MongoDB collection.

Read โ€“ Retrieving all documents or finding a specific document using queries.

Update โ€“ Modifying existing documents using updateOne() and the $set operator.

Delete โ€“ Removing specific documents using deleteOne().

I also learned about MongoDB ObjectId, how to identify individual documents, and how to connect database operations with REST API endpoints using Node.js and Express.

To put the concepts into practice, I continued working on my MarketMate project, a market spending and savings tracker built with React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB Atlas.

One important lesson I learned is that building a full-stack application is not just about displaying information. It is also about creating, retrieving, updating, and managing data correctly.

Every lesson and every small project is helping me understand how real-world applications work.

Still learning. Still building. One step at a time.

๐Ÿ—ฃ Sam Altman says AI is now mostly smarter than our smartest scientists

At the start of this year, he said, that wasn't true. Office work changed the same way:

"AI was mostly not able to do a lot of white-collar jobs, and now it mostly can do a lot of parts of that."

Altman spoke on Monday at the opening of ADIPEC, an oil and gas conference in Abu Dhabi. He added that there "should not be a handoff to AI."

Asked about his biggest challenge, he gave a one-word answer: "Energy." Six years ago, he said, OpenAI's heaviest internal user burned about 100,000 tokens a month. That's now roughly what an average person uses, and the top user consumes about 500 billion, The National reports.

The future of software development isn't about learning your first line of code. It's about building beyond what was possible before.

Meet Miheretab Samson, Founder of Livery, Voxide & Stark.

AI is transforming how experienced developers design, develop, and ship software. The opportunity isn't to replace your coding skills โ€” it's to amplify them.

At Fremwork, we're bringing together developers, software engineers, and experienced builders to explore advanced AI-powered development, push technical boundaries, and build real-world solutions.

This is for developers who already know how to build and are ready to build beyond the ordinary.

๐Ÿค– PROMPT ENGINEERING โ€“ PART 1
What Is Prompt Engineering, and Why Is It Important?

Have you ever asked ChatGPT a question and received an answer that was completely different from what you expected?

The problem might not be the AI. Sometimes, the problem is how we communicate with it.

This is where Prompt Engineering comes in.

What is Prompt Engineering?

Prompt Engineering is the process of designing and improving instructions given to AI systems to obtain more accurate, relevant, and useful results.

In simple words, it is the skill of telling AI what you want, how you want it, and what information it should consider.

Let's look at an example.

Weak prompt:

Explain programming.

Better prompt:

Explain Python programming to a complete beginner. Use simple English, explain each concept step by step, and provide two practical examples.

Notice the difference?

The second prompt gives AI more information about the task, audience, and expected response.

Why is Prompt Engineering important?

It helps you get better results, save time, reduce misunderstandings, generate useful content, and solve problems more effectively.

You don't need to be a programmer to learn prompt engineering. Students, teachers, developers, business owners, and professionals can all benefit from it.

Remember: AI is a powerful tool, but the quality of your instructions can make a significant difference.

Next: Anatomy of a Good Prompt.

That's wild...๐Ÿ˜… Claude is blocking REA, then the team who recently built open-source Adobe alternatives also made a new alternative for REA (Reverse Engineer Anything).

It's called Craft Anything, and it lets your Al coding agent:

~ Reverse-engineer sites, apps, & games
~ Study how existing software looks & works.
~ Compare the recreated version against the original
~ & much more

It comes with 284 tools and works as a desktop app, CLI and MCP server.

No matter how much Anthropic tries to restrict things... open-source devs are always gonna be one step ahead... lol๐Ÿ˜
