التحديث: Gepotidacin هو أول مضاد حيوي من فئة Triazaacenaphthylene يقر للاستخدام السريري.
● آلية العمل: يثبط تضاعف الحمض النووي البكتيري عبر مواقع ارتباط فريدة على إنزيماتو Topoisomerase IV، مما يعني عدم تأثره بالطفرات التي تسبب المقاومة للفينولكينات (مثل Ciprofloxacin).
● الاستخدام الموصى به: خيار مفضل لعلاج التهابات المسالك البولية غير المعقدة (uUTI) الناجمة عن البكتيريا المنتجة لـ ESBL. أظهر فاعلية متفوقة أو مكافئة لـ Nitrofurantoin في التجارب السريرية
