تخيل أن الـ European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL)–Lancet Liver Commission أصدرت دراسة في 29 أبريل تشير إلى وفاة ما يقرب من 780 شخصًا يوميًا في أوروبا بسبب تليف الكبد أو سرطان الكبد. وقد ارتفعت نسبة الوفيات الناجمة عن سرطان الكبد بنسبة 51.4% بين عامي 2000 و2023.
هذا في أوروبا، فكيف سيكون الوضع في اليمن؟
على الرغم من عدم وجود دراسة توضح هذه النسبة، فإن معظم الدراسات تتحدث عن نسبة الانتشار وهي ضعيفة، والأكثر انتشارًا هو الـ Autoimmune hepatitis، وذلك بسبب سموم القات.
ولكن تخيل نسبة انتشار السموم في اليمن بين المستخدم (المرعوي) والمستهلك (المخزن)، حيث لا يوجد وعي ولا ترشيد في استخدام سموم القات.
فلك أن تتخيل نسبة الانتشار والوفيات من هذا الوباء!!؟
