Finerenone (Kerendia) receives expanded FDA approval to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death, hospitalization for heart failure, and urgent heart failure visits in adults with heart failure and left ventricular ejection
fraction ≥ 40%.

✅ It remains approved to reduce risk of sustained estimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR) decline, end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, and hospitalization for heart failure in adults with chronic kidney disease associated with type 2 diabetes.

Efficacy is based on the FINEARTS-HF trial.

Recently FDA-approved,

Inclisiran is a first-in-class siRNA that targets PCSK9 mRNA in the liver, leading to sustained reduction in LDL-C levels.

Unlike monoclonal antibodies, it requires only 2-3 doses per year (day 0, day 90, then every 6 months), making it ideal for patients with adherence challenges.

أدى استخدام Inclisiran إلى خفض مستويات LDL-C بنسبة تصل إلى 52% مقارنةً بالدواء الوهمي، مع تحمُّل جيد وآثار جانبية محدودة (أبرزها injection site reactions).
