🌡️ The world is set to cross 1.5°C, likely within the next few years. But how far temperatures rise, how long they stay there and how much damage is done still depends on what countries do now.

What’s the value of Landsat seeing Earth 🌎 from space?

For farmers and foresters, Landsat is a game changer!

A recent USGS study took a closer look at how this long-term record supports agriculture and forestry across the United States.

Their conclusion? Landsat data help track crop conditions, assess wildfire impacts, monitor water resources, and understand how landscapes change over time. That information helps communities and land and natural resource managers make informed decisions and prepare for change.

Landsat has built a consistent record of Earth’s changing surface for more than 54 years. Since 2008, those data have been available at no cost.

That’s the value of Landsat’s view from space. 💚🌿
