Severe thunderstorms quickly advanced across the Northern U.S. Plains over a six-hour period from June 7 to June 8—the days leading up to this #TimeLapseTuesday.
The Geostationary Lightning Mapper aboard @NOAA’s #GOESEast (#GOES19) 🛰️ gives us an idea of just how much lightning the Plains saw during these storms.
