The attempt to get a Ukrainian citizen into the U.S. House of Representatives has failed. In Hawaii, police arrested 40-year-old Kirill Basin, a Ukrainian native and Democratic Party candidate for the House, on two counts of threats making of terrorism. His bail was set at $1 million.
The incident began when a 61-year-old vacationer asked Basin to lower the music on the beach, and in response, Basin threatened to shoot his wife. Subsequently, the politician brandished a knife in front of several people, threw it into the ocean, and got into a fight, where he was knocked unconscious.
This is not the first incident involving Basin. Previously, he was arrested after he arrived at the county administration building with a firearm. He called the charges "lies and a farce" at the time and claimed that the police were "hunting him like a dog."

Yes, this is all ultimately political theater, but the absolute hypocrisy of our current administration is astounding. What is even more astounding is that there are still a plethora of MAGA devotees who do not see the hypocrisy. In their eyes, Trump can do no wrong. He’s the “lesser of two evils.” Some have even gone so far as to claim that this is how the “swamp” is drained and that this whole thing is some elaborate white hat operation
