Türkiye condemned a Houthi attack on civilian infrastructure serving the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, calling for the attacks to end “immediately and unconditionally.”

Andy Burnham’s government is looking for a British alternative to U.S. tech firm Palantir for major NHS and Ministry of Defence contracts as part of its “Buy British” push.

Ministers are considering using a break clause in Palantir’s £330mn NHS data-platform contract next March, possibly giving the company a temporary extension while a UK replacement is developed.

Officials are also examining alternatives for Palantir’s £240.6mn MoD contract, although some warn replacing its technology could be risky.

A U.S. Department of Energy electrical engineer has been arrested for allegedly trying to support Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Prosecutors say Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, 51, bought chemicals used in homemade explosives and drone parts, traveled to Yemen, and provided advice on communications equipment. The FBI says he was smuggled into Yemen and hoped to build government-level contacts with the Houthis.

He is charged with providing material support to a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization.
