However, we should not forget that many of the positions Türkiye is expressing today had also been expressed in the past.

We have gone through periods of great tension before, and right now it appears that the sea is getting a little rough.

But let us make a distinction between what is often said in the Turkish media and the official positions of Turkish officials.

An F-16 fighter jet crashed during a routine training exercise in Grand Traverse County, Michigan.

The pilot ejected safely and is in stable condition, with no other injuries reported.

The IRGC warned that any unauthorized vessel passage through the strategic waterway would result in the “destruction” of the vessel.
