Two years ago today, Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi was killed by Israeli forces during a peaceful protest in the occupied West Bank.

Eygi, 26, was taking part in a demonstration against Israeli settlement expansion in Beita. Independent reporting found that earlier clashes had already ended and protesters had retreated before she was shot.

Her family says accountability has still not been achieved, with no independent U.S. investigation opened into her death.

Belgrade's Eternal Derby between Red Star and Partizan opened with an official minute of silence for Ratko Mladić — convicted of genocide at Srebrenica.

Ultras from both rival clubs chanted his name together.

Red Star fans displayed a banner reading "Pravac Potočari" — a reference to Mladić's 1995 order during the Srebrenica massacre — alongside his image.
