Germany is planning a nationwide “protective shield” against Russian hybrid attacks following a failed explosive-drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

The plan includes expanding mobile police drone-defense units, giving critical-infrastructure companies legal authority to actively detect and disable threatening drones, deploying AI-powered surveillance systems and creating a national “Cyberdome” to detect and block cyberattacks.
