Putin said Russia will do everything possible to ensure the safety of the talks and of mediators Witkoff and Kushner.

Egyptian television presenter Sarah Khalifa has been sentenced to death by hanging in Egypt over a major drug case.

She and 11 others were convicted of forming an organized criminal gang to manufacture and traffic synthetic drugs, allegedly using imported materials.

Authorities seized more than 750kg of narcotics and raw materials, as well as firearms and ammunition.
