Iran's Ghalibaf reposts:
The equation of this war is clear: either all or none!
In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil. If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe, and the security of the strait is in the absence of American forces.
We have repeatedly said that the situation of the strait will not return to pre-war conditions.

The U.S. military used a high-energy laser to shoot down three drones operated by drug cartels near the U.S.-Mexico border.
USNORTHCOM said the drones were deemed hostile because they posed a threat to military and border personnel.
The military did not disclose their exact location or which cartels operated them.

U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker on Türkiye:
Türkiye is a strong and capable ally. They have the second-largest military in NATO next to the United States.
And they’re anchoring a very important region of NATO territory in the southeast. That being said, they also have a very capable and important defense industry that can produce ships and ammunition and the things that NATO allies need.
Türkiye is a great ally, good friends. They work very hard here at NATO.
You know, we have a great ambassador in Türkiye, and I really think that things are in a good place. But the most important thing, obviously, is the president-to-president relationship that President Trump has with President Erdogan.

For 77 years, our NATO allies have taken advantage of the United States’ strength.
But now, we’re going to be all equally strong.

Trump plans to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 at the Pentagon instead of Ground Zero after organizers reiterated that politicians are not allowed to give speeches at the New York memorial.
JD Vance is expected to attend the Manhattan ceremony, where political speeches have been barred since 2012 to keep the event nonpartisan and focused on victims and their families.

The Iran war and near-closure of the Strait of Hormuz are pushing Gulf states to spend heavily on ports, pipelines and railways to reduce dependence on the chokepoint.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are expanding Red Sea and Fujairah export routes, while Kuwait, Iraq and others pursue alternative pipelines and ports.

South Korea, the US, and Japan will hold the trilateral "Freedom Edge" drill Sept 7-11 off Jeju Island, responding to North Korean nuclear threats.
This comes despite Trump cutting short the US-South Korea "Ulchi Freedom Shield" exercise as a goodwill gesture toward Kim Jong Un — which North Korea rejected, launching ~10 short-range ballistic missiles in response.
Pyongyang won't resume talks unless the US drops denuclearization as a precondition, and accused the US of "hostile moves," threatening a "powerful response."

Former CIA Officer John Kiriakou:
The Greeks are afraid of the Turks. The Greeks don’t know where to run, so they run to the Israelis.
The Greek people want none of this.
And so there’s going to have to be a reckoning day, probably sooner rather than later, between the Greek government and the Greek people.

Former CIA Officer John Kiriakou:
It’s my experience that the Greeks believe that the Israelis are taking over. The Israelis asked the Greek government if they could have permission, for example, to purchase an entire island that would just be a Jewish island.
And Greek citizens see what’s happening in Cyprus, where the Israeli government and Israeli investors are buying entire villages or entire neighborhoods in cities like Paphos and Larnaca. There’s an Israeli military base there now. There’s a Mossad base in Cyprus where there never was one, at least publicly, ever before.
And so, it’s not just that the Greek government has asked the Israeli government to protect it against Türkiye.
It’s that the Greek government is opening the doors for the Israelis to come and become a permanent presence in Greece.

The Greek people don’t want to do business with Israel, but the government is forcing it.
That’s why I say there’s going to be a reckoning. There’s going to be Greek national elections in 2027, next year.
And I think this is going to be a major issue. It’s not all economics in Greece anymore.

Volkswagen’s Osnabrück plant could soon produce military equipment, with Israeli defense firm Rafael planning to manufacture Iron Dome support systems there.
The state could invest around €200 million, possibly with federal involvement.
Since VW's major shareholder Qatar objects to working with an Israeli company, the plan involves Lower Saxony's state government taking over part of the plant and forming a joint venture with Rafael instead, sidestepping direct VW-Rafael cooperation.
An agreement could be signed as early as September, with the topic also on the agenda at VW's September 4 supervisory board meeting.
