Heavy smoke was seen around 10 a.m., and emergency crews responded to the scene.

Officials are investigating the cause, and no additional details have been released.

BIG: The U.S. is reconsidering its long-standing military presence in Kuwait after the war with Iran exposed the country's vulnerability despite hosting thousands of American troops.

While Kuwait still views the U.S. as its primary security partner, the conflict has prompted both countries to rethink their defense strategy.

Washington is weighing a smaller military footprint to reduce risk, while Kuwait is seeking stronger air defenses and broader security partnerships, including a new defense pact with Pakistan.

Trump’s unofficial Venezuela adviser Mauricio Claver-Carone has left his role after playing a major part in shaping U.S. policy and multimillion-dollar oil and debt deals.

Claver-Carone says he left voluntarily, but sources told Reuters he was pushed out amid concerns over his influence and ties to Venezuelan business figures.
