Hamas and the Palestinian factions have acted responsibly and positively throughout the negotiation process and in dealing with the mediators' proposals to complete the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Approval to include the issue of heavy weapons within the framework of the agreement has been tied to, and made conditional upon, the cessation of all forms of aggression, the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the achievement of early recovery, the entry of the administrative committee, the deployment of international protection forces, the dismantling of armed gangs and militias established by the occupation, reconstruction, guaranteeing the right to self-determination, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and the protection of citizens' rights.

Hamas and the Palestinian factions extend their greetings and appreciation to our steadfast people and families in the Gaza Strip, and affirm that they will continue working together along this path for the sake of our people and to safeguard all of their rights.

Germany's Chancellor Merz:

The protection of the EU's external borders is crucial for combating illegal migration.

I support Spain's intention not to allow illegal migrants onto the European continent.

The EU's Return Directive must now be implemented without delay.

Spain says it has returned over 25,000 migrants from Ceuta to Morocco.

Danish PM Mette Frederiksen says the EU should consider suspending Spain from the Schengen area after an estimated 60,000 migrants entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco.

She says Europe must avoid a repeat of the 2015 migration crisis and has spoken with Italian PM Giorgia Meloni about the situation.

Ukrainian President Zelensky says an assassination attempt on Colonel Ihor Obolensky, commander of the Khartiya Corps, was foiled today.

He said the attacker and an accomplice have been detained and are being investigated by the SBU under acting chief Oleksandr Poklad.

Obolensky is unharmed and continues in command.

Zelensky asked Trump to persuade Elon Musk to allow Starlink to be used for guiding Ukrainian drone strikes against ballistic missile launchers inside Russia.

Trump did not commit to making the request, leaving the proposal’s future uncertain.

Ukraine argues this would help offset shortages of Patriot air-defense interceptors.

Currently, SpaceX restricts Starlink’s use inside Russia, permitting Ukraine to use it only on its own territory, including occupied regions such as Crimea.

The U.S. and its allies have issued a warning that North Korean IT workers are using fake identities, stolen or forged documents, proxies, VPNs, remote desktops, and “laptop farms” to secretly obtain jobs with foreign companies and funnel their earnings back to North Korea’s weapons programs.

They often work in software, web, mobile, and blockchain development while also posing risks of data theft, cryptocurrency theft, and insider attacks.

Governments are urging companies to strengthen identity verification and monitoring, warning that hiring or paying North Korean IT workers may violate sanctions and domestic laws.

This military censorship of Hollywood is well documented in Roger Stahl's film "Theaters of War."
 
He went into the archives & found the scripts - marked up with the military's blue pen.
 
He also found the wall of films that never got made - because those directors & producers refused to submit to censorship & couldn't turn a profit without military access.
 
It didn't need to be called censorship. If the studio wouldn't comply, the film simply wasn't made.
 
The most profitable blockbusters were shaped by this process - eventually extending beyond war films to movies where the military battled aliens with ultra-weapons.
 
Some scripts toward the end began to push back slightly. But the censorship process throughout was systematic & well documented.
