Israel and Gaza are signaling progress in ceasefire talks, with a possible announcement soon on a Phase 2 ceasefire agreement.

According to the reported framework, Hamas would transfer all weapons—including light and heavy arms, tunnels, stockpiles, and production sites—to a Palestinian committee, which would become the sole authority controlling weapons in Gaza.

Hamas would also cease all military activity, recruitment, and rearmament, while Israel would not withdraw beyond the original "security line" until full disarmament is completed.

Weapons handover is expected to begin within weeks under multinational supervision.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned his Bulgarian counterpart Velislava Petrova in a phone call over Sofia's agreement to host US military aircraft at Bezmer Air Base to support US operations against Iran.
