According to Milei, the motive was ideological rather than sporting:

China has held direct talks with Yemen’s Houthis to secure safe passage for Chinese oil tankers through the Red Sea.

The move comes after the Houthis threatened ships linked to Saudi ports amid the Iran conflict.

Beijing is getting individual clearance from the Houthis for its vessels, while other tankers have rerouted due to security fears.

At least four Saudi-to-China oil tankers have passed through the Bab el-Mandeb strait since the restrictions began.

INTERESTING: Two female IDF soldiers have died in non-combat incidents at bases within 24 hours.

On Sunday evening a soldier serving in a classified role was found dead at the Glilot base near Tel Aviv, with friends telling Israeli media she had asked for a shortened service due to her mental state and warned she should not be left with a weapon.

On Monday another female soldier was found injured at a base in the Negev and later died of her injuries.

The Military Police have opened investigations into both cases.

No names have been released.
