The UK has temporarily withdrawn embassy staff from Iran due to escalating regional security risks after President Trump threatened to bomb Iranian infrastructure if Iran attacks ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The embassy will continue operating remotely, and the UK warned its citizens that consular assistance is severely limited and further travel disruptions are likely.
